  1. As I said earlier Matthew, I am not so sure I can support them after seeing just how much glee they took, not in their own success, but in beating Liverpool. I'll not be cheering Barca as such, but certainly wouldn't be saddened if Man U got beat. I think United will win it though, just seems to be their season...
  2. That is exactly what I thought about the performance! Mike, you are no doubt spot on.
  3. I do remember at least one flashback to Tony's dad and Uncle Junior...
  4. Moos, fair play, you're probably right about EDMummy's post.
  5. Having said that, I tend to stick stuff in the recycling instead. Why can't the shops have secure drop off boxes?
  6. EDmummy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not me...but I am not sure whether to take > offence, Snorky! Is this defamation? Have absolutely no gripe with you EDmummy, but were you being serious here? Frankly, if I bag up stuff for a shop, then walk it down there, and they're shut, then I would feel no guilt leaving it outside. I would be properly pissed off if someone took stuff from the bag, not through need, but because they fancied it. In my book, it's them who are scum, not me for leaving the bag,
  7. I just don't get it, 2 singers have gone through who have been out of tune and bland! I must admit to being awestruck by the dance groups who have gone through. I think I prefer Flawless. Only saw it for the first time last week, and will very likely watch the final... Not least because I'm totally skint at the moment.
  8. Ha ha, Jeremy, Osbourne Stewartgate was a classic! I've always stuck to my NTV feelings, but popped in to watch a footy match a couple of months ago, and have to sat it was a nice place to watch the footy. Just a shame there isn't much else going for it, and my coat got nicked ther, and they told the police "nothing gets stolen from my bar". So helpful.
  9. I remember reading after the last series that there were lots of discussions about it, but haven't heard anything recent. Imagine there could be issues, it took them ages to get the last few episodes out because of pay rows.

I grew up on all that nonsense >:D< Not sure whether it's Moos or not, but I do like Bette Davis eyes!
  11. I have always liked James, but he is very quick to fire off the term "chav" in a negative way.
  12. I thought that whole story line was unbelievable, and a total let down. Series 4 was my favourite looking back, and I would have liked more on those characters.
  13. Is it a photo on your computer, or on the internet somewhere?
  14. Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Scott Parker, the footballers.
  15. Haha Hona, that's basically what I was getting at, but thought I'd keep the name out of it >:D
  16. My friend told me that the same woman still owns the place, but I believe she's getting rid of her manager, and putting someone new in (possibly my friend's wife, which is why he knew all this). James, sometimes your comments are really rude towards people. Has anyone from The Castle ever given you reason to disrespect them in this way? Louisa, when you say it's the only proper pub left, I have to stick up for the CPT. Despite some new wallpaper, the old Lounge bar is the same as it was when I was born in the late 70's, and the "public bar" side it still pub like. Admittedly I preferred the old tables and chairs to the new sofas, but it is certainly still a proper pub.
  17. Owen will probably end up at a promoted club in tin prem. However, I am a plastic scouser, and I do think he used to be rather good.
  18. That is a bold statement, it certainly has some competition for horrible bar award!
  19. As for Stab City, I always thought that was Limerick in Ireland.
  20. Again with the sensitive SP. Can't we all just chat footy without resorting to playground jibes to wind each other up. Of course you're wanted on here, the thread wasn't the same without you, just as it wasn't the same when Atila wasn't here. Of course, quids and Mockney should start their own thread called Proper Supporters ;-)
  21. Though to be fair, I think red devil is usually a reasonable sort of a chap.
  22. What Anna said. It's the most sensative souls on here when stuff is said about their clubs, who seem quickest to dish it all out.

  24. I feel sorry for all the clubs that missed out on Europe due to the ban, but it gets to me when United harp on about it, like Liverpool cost them so much.
  25. SP, I was joking about the banner, thought I made that clear. Apologies for missing the 2 UEFA places, I'm no encyclopedia, I just looked it up, and they weren't mentioned. My point was just that you may not be so close to "knocking Liverpool off their perch" had it not been for the ban.
