James, to be fair to Lenk, I don't think s/he ever said a description would be useless. However, the OP has already said she doesn't have a particularly helpful description, and just saying "gang of black/white youths in t-shirts and jeans" isn't really going to help you recognise a potential threat.

Chill out Lenk FFS, I don't think anyone is trying to encourage paranoia! I don't think anyone on here is naive enough to believe that every teenager in baggy trousers and a hoodie is going to be carrying a knife, but the fact is, that some do, and as Brendan points out, if someone did know who this particular gang of little scrotes are, then maybe reporting them would be useful. Not sure where this is from, I had heard "council Housing and Violent" equally I'm not sure where that came from, and whether it's accurate. I have used the word chav on occasion, so don't want to get on my high horse about it. However, when I use it (having first heard it about 2004), it's to describe some knob boy racer with a load of bling (and probably a fair few quid). These days, it seems to be more directed at a certain demographic "underclass" if you will, and that it when it starts to become nasty.

I'm nervous about tonight, and hope Matthew is right that it could be one to remember. I have a weird feeling though, that we'll win the match, but not by enough... Should be an exciting one, but if Chelsea score early, I think I may turn over.

Ha ha, what Anna said. What a load of romantic nonsense. AC went to sleep for 7 minutes, and Gerrard dragged Liverpool back in to it. Don't get me wrong, it was an incredible comeback, but lets not over do it. That said, by the time it got to 90 minutes, Liverpool looked the team who were going to win it!

I am a Counting Crows fan, and the first album (August & Everything After) remains one of my favourite albums. They have never reached those heights again IMO. Anyway, I remember hearing the song Sullivan Street on a tape my mate leant me, and thinking it was REM, because of his voice (although I don't actually like REM). Borrowed the full album off the same mate, and don't think I ever gave it back.

I thought that was a great song, and from Highlander soundtrack, so even better!

Last week I decided to revisit Metroid Prime for Game Cube (played on Wii), and forgot what a blinding game it is! Having now defeated the hardest boss ever (Meta Ridley), I have got to the final boss (Prime), but could face the fight, and will do it later. Now I just have to start Metroid Prime 2 for Game Cube, before I can finally allow myself to buy 3 for the Wii.

Oh dear, Liverpool finish on 84, 4 points behind United (spurs draw 2-2 on the last day, probably Keane goal). Everton 5th ahead of Villa. West ham 8th on 52, one place ahead of spurs on 50. (sorry Jah) Hull, boro & west brom down (Stoke only staying up on GD, finishing on 37 same as Hull.

Actually not an easy one to answer. The 2 pubs that immediately spring to mind to watch footy, would be CPT or EDT, neither of which do food (well EDT might do snacky fod, not sure). Maybe The George Canning? No offence, but sitting watching the footy whilst eating a meal just doesn't seem quite right to me.

At least one potential buyer came very very close to taking the place on a year or so ago, but puled out quite late in the day. The actual building needs a fair bit of cash spent on it. Damned shame, I love the CPT :(

I gave up on papers, just listen to Radio 4, and read BBC website. Too many columnists seem to believe that because someone has given them the opportunity to speak on something, and offer their take on a situation, it makes them unquestionably right about it.

Too many to mention, but this Thursday wasn't good, and neither has today been. Agree with Quids and Mockney, it's the fear that gets me! Back in my younger days, I'd say 18th March 1997 was pretty bad. Had drank 2 bottles of JD to my self the night before, girlfriend at the time spent the entire day puking in to a bowl next to the bed, and I just shivered.
