  3. Ha, it's actually a rather literal name by all accounts.
  4. Sean are you on admin duty today perchance?
  5. The Castle Irony
  6. Spot on with the last bit Dave! :)) The relegation battle is pretty bloody exciting too. Our very own Fear N' Boozin is a saints fan, and pointed out their plight to me. Any one of 5 teams could easily fall in to that last relegation spot!

Careful not to confuse them too much though, you may cause them to crash! Heh heh heh heh >:D

I just scream C*NT!!! At them... Also satisfying ;-)
  9. ???? he was about 4, and probably chose Liverpool because he'd never heard of Charlton. Had I taken on my family team, I too would be Arsenal. The fact is it bored me to death as a little kid, I just wasn't interested. By the time I got in to it, Arsenal were doing rather well, so I guess I could have just started supporting them and told everyone they were my family team and I'd been Arsenal since birth. Sorry ???? but I know a lot of scousers who would tell you they were Liverpool supporters, but who probably could name a player other than Gerrard, how does their "birthright" make them more of a fan than me, who follows with passion, and gets really up or down about results? If it makes you feel any better, I have been to watch Charlton many times in the past few years, because I couldn't afford the fares to Anfield, and I wanted to watch footy... And Charlton have been my second team for a long long time (since I really fancied a girl who was Charlton mad at school)... Like I say, many different reasons, all valid so long as your support is true.
  10. Well I am a spanner, because I was born in South London, and I support Liverpool, whereas I should have supported Millwall, Palace or Charlton... I would have included Arsenal, but it's been a while since they were a south London team. Like I said before though, I got in to the game late, and I decided on my team because I liked their play, and their players, which I think is a fair enough reason for chosing a team. It had nothing to do with glory, because at that time, they wern't exactly winning anything. My best friend is also from South London, and also supports Liverpool, because when he was little, his whole family were (and still are) Chelsea, and he wanted a different team, so he chose a red team rather than Chelsea blue, it's as simple as that! There is no reason why a person should support a particular team, the only rule should be that they stick with that team through good times and bad, and NEVER EVER change their team. Why did the Arsenal fans chose Arsenal? Is Sean a spanner because he supported the Gunners from Ireland? (sorry Sean, just making a point).

I agree with you *bob*. What does annoy me is that the Greens or Lib Dem will certainly have done better in the past had people not constantly voted Tory to Keep Labour out or vice versa. This election will be exactly the same and it's depressing. mightyroar Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tactical or a bore or whatever...... a second vote for anyone but Boris or Ken is a wasted vote. > > The first vote should be for whoever you genuinely want to win. There you go, have a vote just to ease your conscience, then vote for Ken or Borris to stop the other one getting in. Why do we even bother having other parties? Grrr!
  12. My dad is BA Baracus with Bruce Lee's Nunchuckas! Some people can't afford to go and watch their team very much, but that doesn't make them any less a loyal fan! A good friend of mine who is from from Liverpool has been living in Leeds for a long long time, and I don't know if she's ever been to Anfield, but she is still one of the most passionate fans I know. I haven't been to Anfield in several years now, which is terrible, but mainly down to cash and travel. I still love my team though.
  13. Damn it, why did I chose Wii?
  14. I feel rather sorry for him, he came in at a terrible time, and I don't think he'll ever recover from it. A shame, as I think he is a good honest man in a time of smiley spin orientated polotics. He's been a bit pig headed about some stuff though. I just wish Blair had passed on the mantle a couple of years back and given him a fair crack, rather than digging him a massive hole and leaving Brown to try and climb out. Heard Cameron on Radio 4 this morning, vile little turd he is. It's depressing when you really don't have faith in anyone to lead the country... Or at least no one with a hope of getting in.

    Or The Vale now apparently.
  16. I'd never heard of it until seeing this thread. Watched a repeat last night, and thought it was really good. Sort of a sketch show with an ongoing story.

  19. Well I predicted the 2 for Derby, but got the Arsenal score slightly wrong :-S

Yeah but surely Asset would be going Green 1 Ken 2, so it would count if it's Ken Vs Borris.
  21. Ant Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Have to say, upon further research and prodding myself to remove one or two 'neither's from my list, that votematch was broadly right too. This made me go back and take a bit more time over it, and only had 2 or 3 "neither"s this time (although I think Agree or Disagree still doesn't really paint a fair picture... Top 2 are still the same, but interestingly, Ken and Boris have basically swapped positions, with Lib Dem still 3rd out of the "big 3"... Pleased to say UKIP have fallen right down, above only BNP and One London. Anyway, I know my number 1 vote, but I already did, so it still hasn't really helped.

    Ask Admin

A long time mystery, but I think they are red if you've not seen that thread since your last login, and blue if you have... It could also have something to do with using the Back button... Seems to work that way for me anyway.
  23. I'm with you Anna, my professional status seems to have been withdrawn... If only I could be given an honour... Or be ANY permanent civil sevant!!!
  24. Great idea, and no one has to worry about giving anything away, as it will be anonymous.
