  1. Rooney is all about Rooney. I've disliked him since he scored against Everton for Utd, and really taunted the fans of the club that gave him his chance. He's a genuinely great player when on form, but he lacks class in many ways.
  2. Hmm, looking very much like Rooney's days at Man U are numbered...
  3. Great spot Anna. Good to see this thread again too.
  4. I have to say that I disagree about using the old Actress thread. If I wanted to know what time it closed on a friday, or what beer they did, I'd ask on the old thread. However, I think this was a more specific issue, that was turning in to a discussion about footy in pubs. In my opinion, a title change would have been appropriate. Agree that words like censorship are just plain wrong here, but also find some responses here to be rather patronising to the OP.

    X Factor

I actually liked DV, it just made me think of the chorus of UTB.

ThatDiana Vickers song sounds like Under the bridge.
  8. Oh well, can't say as I wasn't expecting the pool to lose today. I'm not too worried about the table, because a couple of wins can make a massive difference. BUT, they can't get any layers in until January, and Woy needs to get their chins up a lot sooner than that, or they really might be in trouble.
  9. Granted, but I still stand by my point. Had he stayed at Aberdeen, I suspec they still would have been eclipsed by Rangers & Celtic.
  10. As a response to DJKQ's post yesterday, I think you need a good manager AND a shed load of moey for real sucess these days. One or the other will not do it. Pains me to say it, but Fergie is a great manager, but I suspect he wouldn't have done so well at a smaller club over the years. Equally, you can give all the money in the world to a guy, but if he doesn't spend it well, then get his team playing as a unit, it won't bring you any silverware. Anyway, Everton 1-0 up at half time. Come on you reds! Annoys me a bit how people in the press were expecting a totally different Liverpool today. Yes they will be pleased it's all sorted, but it's still the same team it was last week.
  11. Personally I didn't have a problem with Rafa for his signings, I just started to find the football dull. Anyway, another day, another court...
  12. It is when they're second hand.
  13. A court in Texas. WTF!?
  14. For the record, I don't think Dazie and Waynetta are similar. The rodeo thing is a classic by the way.
  15. It was happening here. I saw a programme a couple of years back about an academy school in Middlesbrough. They were telling their kids "this is what you need to write in your exam papers, but this is what really happened". As I say, I have no strong feelings against faith schools, but stuff like that is just wrong.
  16. Meant to answer this at the time. I thought exactly the same, and equally, when they said So if he'd been fighting and fit, he would have gotten away with it? Whoever speaks to the press for the BBBC needs to have a real think about their wording. Anyway, Well at least someone from the UK gets to fight a Klitschko! Obviously Chisora won't be demanding anything like the share of the purse that Haye would, but this just sucks basically. I appreciate all these guys turn pro to make money out of fighting, but surely there is some pride left, and they want the big fights!
  17. Totally agree with the gist of this point. With regards to the argument that you're excluded from 1/3 of schools if you're not religious, surely it could be argued that you have 2/3 of schools open to you, whilst a religious person only has 1/3 to choose from. I'm not particularly pro or anti faith schhols, but I do find that some of the arguments against them are a lot better than others.
  18. I too am with KidKruger.
  19. Good point. Arf arf
  20. I think *bob* basically has the right of it. Obviously there are expenses that come with kids, but really they cost what you decide they shoul cost. We had some vouchers that were about to expire, so we spent ?80 on a trike thing for our daughter. Would I have so readily spent that ?80 had we not had the vouchers? Probably not. I do think that pople should think about it before having their 4th or 5th kid, but it is a damed shame if people can't have their second or third because they are worried about the money side. Saying that, I have always thought it was quite odd that CB was just dished out to everyone.
  21. I think new mother was having a bit of a joke. I hope so anyway.
  22. Ha ha. Hadn't read everything. Still tend to agree with R_D on this.
  23. Saying that, I think I heard on the radio that they'd agreed to sell... To another yank!
