  1. Also, the CPT tends to have footy on in both bars these days. Oh well.

  3. No, not just you.
  4. D_C is indeed right regarding the main issue. I feel sure Mick has to be right on this, in this day and age, you'd have to say they deserved everything they got if they were caught out, as they should be a lot more media aware!
  5. Agree with Matthew on this, I don't think Marr is very good. Paxman is boss, and I don't mind Humphries. There are a couple on Radio 4 who really annoy me though, trying to bully tabloidesque sensations out of people. Don't want that on my morning radio thank you very much.
  6. He failed to mention the fact he left Brown with a poisoned chalice, so Brown was doomed from the start whatever he did.
  7. Speaking of Great Ormond Street, I remember there being a great concern over the loss they'd suffer when the copyright to Peter Pan expired. Figures have never been released on how much the royalties have been worth to them, but the concern seemed to suggest that it would make quite a difference to the hospital's running.
  8. At this time of expences in the news, they may have thought it was a top idea.

  10. Brilliant *bob*, I was thinking similar earlier, but you just do these things better than I would (tu)
  11. And equally DJ, just cos a few people on a forum find it inappropriate, doesn't mean it is. Works both ways.
  12. Cross posted with Sean.
  13. Why are they hesitant about voicing an opinion? Why is this such a big deal? I just don't get it. I'm not thick, and I do get people's points on here, but I just really don't see why they care. It seems to be just creating things to worry about, imagining some poor little old lady, or an abused wife. If these people exist, and received this letter, they probably chucked it in the bin and didn't give it a second thought. O4r maybe they thought "what a cheek", but really, what harm is done? There is enough to worry about in this world without getting wound up over nothing. Lets all have a drink and forget.
  14. All this agreeing with Sean is making me feel a bit uncomfortable.
  15. It's not illegal, so it's correct enough.
  16. Leggings - Check Studded Codpiece - Check
  17. Agree completely with Sean on this. Look, we live in an age where you can go on the internet, and get the home address of anyone you want. Who fucking cares?
  18. What Timster said.
  19. You may have disagreed with me once or twice, so obviously you were completely wrong on those occasions. No one's perfect ;-)
  20. Fair enough, but as soon as I saw the title of this thread, I knew there would be people who couldn't resist having a pop. If I remember rightly, we only have her word for this. Anyway, as you say, lets not let the whole thing kick off again. Peace x
  21. Rather than respond to that myself, I'll quote the almost always right Moos. That basically says it all for me. It may not sit quite right, but when you're competing with thousands of other charities for people's kindness, you need to play the game, and the game isn't always pretty.
  22. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > They charge you? They let me in for spanners.... > ;-) > I seem to remember that you have to pay for drinks tickets before you go in, so I guess it's not exactly charging you, but you have to part with money, and you don't seem to get much back for it. Saying that, I've not been there since my wallet got nicked a couple of years ago. > Bht whatever they charge, any kind of licence > enforcement is going to see it closed down, not > made safer I'm amazed it doesn't get raided every week as it is.
  23. What Gimmie said!!!
  24. Obviously not for everyone. I know it wasn't your intention, but that statement is a bit dramatic to someone who may be a bit fearfull about impending parenthood. Basically this always brings a mixed response. It's rare that people will say they've had a bad experience with NCT, and often people will say they were great. Equally, people will say they don't regret not doing it.
