  1. Those who don't like footy in Scott's new boozer can p!ss off to The Bishop, Scott's old boozer, and everyone's a winner. Especially Scott. Sorted :)-D
  2. Well Wenger's has been for a while, and Hughs & Big Sam are 2 very very bad losers, and they haven't won much. No, I never said that. If I was a United fan *shudders*, I'd obviouslt hold Fergie in very very high regard, and be chuffed with all he'd won. BUT, I don't think I'd be completely comfortable with the man, and his behaviour, because he's a coont (to quote ratty). Sh!t like the "hairdryer", in my book is not the way anyone should be treating their players. If you're happy winning in that way, good on ya, but I think it stinks.
  3. No, because there is a bit more to sport than just winning, and Fergie is a nasty bastard.
  4. Satan Lives!!!
  5. Mick Mac Wrote: > Don't mention it. The little bit that you get from > me, spend it wisely. You sound like the type who tells a barmaid "I pay your wages", when she tells you you've had enough.
  6. How was it out of context? It was entire posts, one in response to another. Not like I snipped a couple of lines out of some 1000 word thesis on modern health care funding.
  7. I have no idea how you've gotten that from anything I've said. LM, I'm sure you have a thicker skin than that. I wasn't getting personal, I was saying that yourself, Mick, and DJKQ, whilst claiming to be interested in other's opinions, are basically taking the p!ss with sILLY remarks such as And Actually, I take Mick's name out of there, as he's not been doing that (sorry Mick), although I still think he is being rather blinkered about this.
  8. FFS, it's not about giving a toss or not, obviously it's not ideal if someone doesn't want to get the letter, and feels uncomfortable about it. Frankly though, I think in the grand scheme of things, a few people being a bit upset really doesn't bloody matter that much! Sorry if that makes me evil or something, I'm sure yourself, LM & Mick are enjoying your high horses at the moment, but I think it is actually you guys who are missing the point, and just refusing to look at the bigger picture.
  9. I think MM was just pointing that out, as some people seemed so disgusted that they were asking for money, like it was something new.
  10. Even MOTD (despite praising his play), pointed out that Nani has a less sporting side to his game, so hardly just the bleating of scoucers.
  11. SP, I thought the first half was messy from both sides, with United having the better of it. Didn't think there was much in it second half, but no complaints. Nani is a cheat though. Chelsea playing much better all round at this stage.
  12. Did anyone ever believe there actually would be anything?
  13. We'll agree to disagree then.
  14. Kings haven't done that either, it's just the way you and some others are choosing to read it, so that you've got something to shout about. When I was at school, the music teacher started a trust, as he never wanted kids to have to pay for music lessons, and face poor kids missing out just because of money. He has since contacted lots of us and asked if we'd like to make a contribution now we're grown up and working. Some did, others didn't because they couldn't. There was nothing cheeky in his asking though. At the end of the day, Kings has a charit attached to it, the charity has fundraisers, who's job it is to both advertise the charity, and to convince people to give money to the charity. Despite this stupid thread, I suspect that the mail out did indeed spread the word, and probably got a few donations. Job done. You can't please everyone, especially when some people are so determined to find offence in everything, just to give them a new soap box to get on. Life is way too short to worry about this so much. It'll be even shorter if Kings don't have any cash.
  15. Fire service asks for donations towards it's website, and there is a fire fighters charity to support them in times of need. Not quite the same I know, but still a request for donations. The MET asks for volunteers to support them, which is not a money thing, but based on your argument, there should be no need to rely on volunteers, as it should all be state funded. As stated earlier, there is nothing new about hospitals relying on charitable donations. Kings haven't suddenly just decided to start doing this. The only question here is whether the letter was morally correct. At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong answer. Some people found it inappropriate, or were made to feel uncomfortable by it. Other people (me included) would have either donated, or put it in the bin thinking nothing more of it. It is a shame that some people had concerns ove it, but at the end of the day, if you don't ask, you don't get, and this letter wasn't even asking as such.
  16. As have you.
  17. Oh Sh!t!!!
  18. I'm sure they'd be very sympathetic.
  19. Good to have some self belief I guess, but where does this tw@ts ego come from?!?
  20. Quite right Sean. Sorry PR, but I have to agree with everything Sean just said about this public meeting lark.

Yeah, but Huguenot's opinion was based on something Huguenot had experienced, whilst your is just based on the fact that you think he's a c**t. Come on guys, I'm sure a lot of people in the world of entertainment are total tw@ts. Who gives a sh!t.
  22. What Piers said.
  23. Did you then go on to run your student union at Uni?

As a complete aside, I am getting really hacked off with this new use of ~"Really?". Sort of pronounced Rreeaaly? Not a dig at you Sean, a good mate has started doing it all the bloody time, because his new bird uses it a lot. Very annoying!
  25. What he said!
