  1. Nonsense, he wrote a load of shite as well as a load of great stuff.
  2. Players dive these days, it's a shame, but they do. As a result, refs are going to be fooled at times, and I'd agree that in these circumstances, the blame should lie with the cheating scum who has taken a dive. Liverpool players dive sometimes, and I bloody hate it, and it makles me lose respect for them, however good they may be. I doubt there is a person on here who could claim that their team has no players who basically cheat at times.
  3. Really enjoying Pillars in my household. Good old Lovejoy is great. Have missed him since Deadwood finished before it's time.

Hibbs, the girl band went home. Katy stayed, despite singing out of tune in the sing off. That doesn't seem to matter on this show though. I'm still likng Cher, having seen her twice now. Like that Matt bloke to, although he should never sing that song again!
  6. Live and let die, tune. Think he seems like a cock though.
  7. Been travelling on my own.
  8. What Rosie said.
  9. I play with a band at lots of different weddings, and as a rule, the bigger / grander they are, the more dull they seem. Of course it's about personal taste. Personally, I absolutely hate sitting for ages for a meal, when I just want to drink and dance. I think Anna basically has the right of it though.
  10. The turban is there to hold their long hair, but it is also one of the 5 K's that the men traditionally wore.

Why should there be. They win a shot at a very tough business, with backing that others only dream of. If they flop, they flop.
  12. Totally agree with Huguenot's last post. As he points out, these employers DID make allowances for all religions, and treated everyone equally. Also, a crucifix is a religious symbol, whilst the headscarf is worn for a practical reason defined by the religion. It is a very different thing.
  13. Usually it's a couple of nasty bastards who leech on to a cause, shout loudly, and plant seeds of bad behaviour.
  14. I only have memories of one grandparent (one dead before I was born, two died when I was very small), and my nan lives down in Devon (still going strong at 92). Have some great memories of summer holidays in Devon when I was little, but I am so glad my little one sees all four of her grandparents most weeks.

So with you on this Rosie!
  16. Yep, my sister and I were both born in Dulwich Hospital, and my parents still live in my childhood home in ED. My sister has always lived in ED, and I've only moved up to Sydenham (I did have a few years away, but came back).
  17. I see mine when I drop my dauhter off on a Monday morning, and usually get a bacon sandwich to take away. My sister and I used to often go round to our parents for Sunday roast, although that doesn't happen so much now. Me and my dad both drink in the CPT, which I like.
  18. Undiscovered? You found it didn't you?
  19. It won't connect with HOP, it's not really an "extention of the ELL", it's just another branch of the London Overground network. It'll go from Clapham, through Denmark Hill / Peckham, on to Surrey Quays (where you could catch one to HOP).
  20. We just wanted a good party, so that's what we had, and it was great. Genuinely couldn't care less if we didn't please everyone, the bride and groom had a great day.

Saturday was the first show I've watched, so only seen Cher once, but based on that, I quite liked her. Missed the Britney cover.

I quite like that Cher girl, just cos she's a bit different. That Aiden bloke is shit, don't know why they thought his Diamonds are forever was good.
  23. Friday was mean to me. Got a bit carried away enjoying my pass. Saturday has been spent hiding from daylight.
  24. Although they can both be correct, I can't stand s's. There is a big department store in Liverpool called Lewis's, always made me seethe.
  25. By the way Anna, were you amongst the pool fans at the Inter game chanting Rafa's name? I wonder if he will end up back at the club...
