  1. I'd agree with staying in bed late on a Saturday morning, and just enjoying the fact your house is clean and tidy. Mrs Keef would absolutely agree with reading books, she was a BIG reader, and now barely gets to read a page or 2 a week, and I know that upsets her. Hangovers! I don't mean you miss them exactly, but I used to love going out on the lash til late, and just hiding from the sun the following day, or going for hair of the dog. Believe me, you / your fella will learn very quickly that hangovers and little babies are a sh!t combo!!! That is the first thing that has ever really made me consider what I am drinking! Basically just chill out and enjoy each other's company, because, much as you'll adore your little one, there are times when 3 seems like a crowd! Oh, and you might want to enjoy the occasional bunk up whilst you have no interruptions!!! ::o
  2. Can't give much advise yet, but we've ordered one for our 17 month old (waiting for it to arrive). We went for the Smart Trike Premium, because it looked a bit sterdier, and was only about ?15 more I think. I'll let you know how we get on once it's here (not til next wek), unless you're in a rush.
  3. I live in Upper Sydenham (about equal walking distance between Forest Hill & Sydenham stations), in a 3 bed house with garden, and the rent is waaay cheaper than it would be in Dulwich (in fact, it seems cheap for around here too, but I'm not going to mention that to the landlord!). It's great for the kids up here, we have Wells Park, which is a bit small, but IMO better / prettier than anything in ED. We also have Mayow Park, which has a decent playground, and I think they're actualy spending a bit doing the place up a bit. My wife takes our daughter to lots of groups locally, so there is stuff going on, and a more mixed group of people. It feels a lot greener, and the housing stock is a lot nicer than in ED. 197 & 176 buses are regular, and take 10-15 minutes down to the shop part of Lordship Lane, so all the stuff you want down there is on the doorstep basically. I'm from ED, and I love it, but I genuinely feel I have the best of both worlds living up here. (plus if there is ever a massive flood, we're up hill, ED is doomed!!!! ;-)) PS. I wouldn't particularly recommend Lower Sydenham / Catford, always seem quite bleak to me.
  4. Have a good move, but no need to say goodbye, one family room user that I know of lives in Canada now, and Huguenot, who is a Lounge / Drawing Room user, lives in Singapore! All the best anyway.
  5. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > EC just used the word "agree". I'm confused. He also seems to have actually started a proper discussion on this thread. Something of a rarity.
  6. Here is where I have to disagree. ED is a nice place to live, and has a bar to cater for all tastes. (CPT is my favourite, but given the fact you think LL is great at night, I suspect it may not be your bag) Parks are quite nice, if somewhat uninspired. Transport links are sh!t though, and there are too many sheep walking up and down the street day and night.
  7. I think he should get his chance. Then he could prove once and for all that he is sh!t, and no one would ever employ him again, and I wouldn't have to see his face on MOTD every weekend! That said, some fool may hire him as a pundit, and that would be even worse!
  8. I was an Atila fan, he went way too far at times, and had anger management issues, but least he was up front about what he thought, not snide.
  9. I'm in need of a couple of nights off the sauce, so won't be along.
  10. Oh come on everyone, this could be interesting. Must admit though, Mike was my first thought too when I saw the name Axeman.
  11. Axeman, you're totally entitled to that opinion, and you're not alone in thinking that the drinks are a bit sad. However, there was really no need to be nasty about it, especially to Georgia who is being helpful and nice. Basically you've just come across as a bit of a c**t.

    I'm a big Cheggers fan.
  13. One of the first rules is NEVER use shared fridges! It's hetting chilly now, so hang milk out the window in a bag.

    PC or MAC?

I think if you just want it for simple everyday computer use, go for a PC, as it'll probably be cheaper. If you want to do stuff, especially around media, go MAC.
  15. Have you all been coached by
  16. Just found one I was given at the Lambeth Country Show a while back. They are called Stubbi. And they don't cost much
  17. As do I. Cate, although you claim this thread is specifically about littering, you do have a serious issue with smokers, and that makes me suspect that you'd have been less inclined to start a thrad if, say, you'd seen the employees of these businesses leaving empty cans on the floor or something. I agree with Jah, the little stub-it's or whatever they were called, should be more widely available.
  18. Hatton has licence revoked I know he wouldn't have had another fight (if he was wise), but a sad ending.
  19. Not my mess Mick. As stated earlier, I don't really give a toss, I think Woy will get things together, we'll finish where we finish, but it'll be in the prem, and eventually the club will get sold, and things can get sorted out. Oddly enough, I'm actually enjoying footy more than I have for a couple of seasons.
  20. Another shout for Articulate, it's brilliant after a few beers! Cranium also fun. Oh, and Pass the bomb (again, if p!ssed)
  21. Scary stuff? :-S
  22. We know Mick, you'd have had Martin O'Neil instead. Because he would have done loads better... Oh wait, no he wouldn't. Interesting to read all the comments from Villa players about O'Neil now that he's left.
  23. Still want to get to the actress, but have a gig the following night, so may not get the pass for Friday...
  24. I can't believe people would say Woy out at this stage though. I don't think any realistic Liverpool fan was / is expecting to win anything this season. Woy needs to make it his team, and basically keep them afloat until the ownership is sorted (and hopefully not an American). I imagine poor Woy may find himself out of a job pretty quickly once a new owner does come in, and decides to put in a big fashionable name.
  25. Not during footy hours
