Shame about the football in my opinion, but SKY do charge ludicrous money to pubs! Hope they play the ITV Champs League matches though, would be nice to have somewhere new to watch a match...

It would, but not at ?15 a pop, which, I am told, they cost at the fair yesterday! Now that has got to be a huge mark up! I apologise if my facts are wrong, but I'm sure that's what my friend said they cost.

Polly, please let me know how you/your guests get on with the Sally Army place if they stay there..... Myself and Mrs Keef will be looking for accomodation for friends/family in late October, and it could be perfect!

Lorraine, I wouldn't say Ganapati is expensive.... It's not cheap cheap, but I think for the quality, it's good value! >:D

I've only been to the silver buckle about 3 times, and actually I've had a real laugh, and no trouble each time.... However, there have been fights in there on each occasion too... :-S Back on subject, it would be great to have a local B&B, but I fear that with the property prices in ED, the room rates would be huge just to cover the mortgage..... Hope I'm wrong....

Hi Paul, a few of us had talked about a similar thing, and have met once or twice, but we've ben a bit rubbish lately at getting together for various reasons..... I'm always up for having a "jam" *shudders at that word*...

Is the secret Gardener different from The Constant Gardener? I thought the film of Constant Gardener was visually absolutely stunning! Bought the book, but haven't gotten round to it yet...

It is NOTHING like it was when it was a pub, I remember it having nice seperate bars and a really nice garden. Going back to the Inside 72 thing, I agree that it would be great to have a cool music based place... However, I think the reason 72 works so well is because it is a tiny place, not sure you'd get the same feel in a big airy bar.

Vicks I think it's great what you're doing, and I'm glad there will be a bit of competition for the other Green shops, as it's a bugger when you feel like you're being totally ripped off for trying to be environmentally friendly! Good luck! :) -
The pics I've met Jimmy is talking about are the ones in the little photo album that Mrs Mockney looked after for him. She mentioned them to me, and yep she still has them. Anyway, good result for you yesterday Mockney, nice way to round off your weekend! :))
