Germany handed a final place on a plate ? With all the attractive football I couldn't bear a Germany Italy final Am rooting for the Dutch (but waiting for the impending implosion)
Near work there is Cynthias Bar - not an odd name, although the 7 foot robot on entry mixing drinks is http://www.virtual-london.com/entertainment/pubs-and-bars/cynthias-bridge-bar-and-lounge.html
I always say I'm renting and the landlord handles the utility bills / double glazing / window cleaning / Sky TV special one day only, too good to miss, we're giving it away deals...
To the initial poster, the only way you are going to find out is through giving it a go (if you are renting it will not be that big a deal to move) Obviously opinions can be formed by comparing what a place used to be like through rose tinted glasses, or over a single incident (however large or small) Like TripAdvisor (!) the negatives usually are more vocal (and more likely to voice their opinion)
Coffee grounds (get free from coffee shops, or staff canteens) will help deter cats - as well as recycling waste and acting as a liquid fertiliser for your garden Citrus rind / scent - also works
Toby - thanks for letting us know what's going to be happening. A bar is better than another gift shop or estate agent in my book. I for one will definitely be giving it a go What's your estimated open date ?
Best shop must be Lucius & Richards - great bread and breakfast. Watch the film "Last Orders" for quite a few scenes around Bellenden Rd - including Michael Caine standing in his butchers (Lucius & Richard) Not a lot of people know that
A lot of the time you can play samples on Amazon (US and UK) or other music retailer sites Just listening to some Susumu Kokota - if you want some cinematic electronica (think soundtrack to "Lost in Translation")
Is the name of a new shop on Bellenden Guesses to what it will offer / sell ?! - I'm hoping it'll be owned by the band who sang that annoying song "Babycakes" a few years ago...
There's loads already for sale with boards up on Maxted - a lot sold recently as well (and a few privately selling that I know of) Hope all goes well BB
A lovely spring evening, cheap beer, 7 goals (6-1 to Dulwich Hamlet - their speed meant it looked like a goal every time they attacked), a couple of amusing nutters in the bar, things went very hazy after some of the Gowlett's cider - but all in all a great night Last home game of the season - 19th April http://www.dulwichhamletfc.co.uk/index.php
The only downside of the series will be that people know what they need to do to survive - i.e. find a scapegoat or distance themselves away from being team leader (although that in turn could be entertaining) Great "shout at the telly" viewing thought - and Adrian Chiles on "You've been Fired" is v funny as well
