Was pleasantly surprised when a few of the said bollards appeared at (I think) the Art London show a couple of years ago. All and sundry were fawning over them, whilst I thought they looked better outside Sam's Kebabs

Bellenden Road - just picking up or closing down?
tommy replied to northlondoner's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Welcome BigPhil and anyone else new to the area. Yes, the area was in the free rag yesterday biggin up the area. Mostly about how house prices will go up (10-12%) due to the East London line extension - the quotes were by local estate agents though... Whether technically its a village or not, it doesn't matter - Bellenden is on the whole a very friendly area where people know their neighbours and their local shopkeepers. A good example of the community spirit was a week or so ago, someone had put up lost cat posters - not the usual kind, but that they had found a lost cat and was advertising the fact. I was impressed -
What you need Keef is a lovely thick strawberry milkshake actually this morning around 8am - had just been to pickup a delivery from the sorting office in Peckham, was feeling hungry and felt the golden arches luring me in - first time I'd been in since the refurb and it was spotless - the sausage and egg McMuffin was delicious...

The American Hot (with extra chilli oil of course) cost ?7 at the Gowlett - very reasonable seeing that its not much more than a shop bought one I'd like a Bodeans if Hisar was to go (do love the Mixed Grill though)

I rate reality type programmes as how much you shout at the TV - as they go it really is one of the best. Obviously the candidates are chosen for their ill-advised bravado and backstabbing abilities - all part of the fun

Actually agree in this case - its akin to saying I'm not going to bother over graffiti or littering in my neighbourhood. Its all of our jobs to show some community spirit -

Bellenden Rd was mentioned twice in London Lite tonight - article saying how the East London Line will boost the area - and how houses within a 10 min walk of the station will be more sought after... -

Agreed, best birthday was in and around Mendoza. Wine tasting into the Andes, amazing lunch with a couple of bottles, back to the hotel for a swim, then dinner at 1884 http://www.frommers.com/destinations/mendoza/D52737.html

No probs - I usually fill in the online forms on the Southwark council website. http://www.southwark.gov.uk/YourServices/environment/environmentalcrime.html I do agree that Bellenden Road could really cash in on the cafe culture that some of the shops are going for. In its favour its got the wide pavements that LL hasn't -

They rely on people like you to point these things out. I've done this with fly tipping locally, graffiti and something is always done -

Yes, in the film the Wishing Well is the boozer.
