  1. my first iPhone/touch game recommendation, which actually stands up as a game and makes good use of the touch screen is Zen Bound It's sublime, great music and weirdly fascinating, plus the music is then a free download from iTunes. Basically select a little wooden carving hanging from a tree and wrap it in paint soaked string to paint it. That's pretty much it but it just works! IGN give it 95% * edited - And god its liberating to type with a keyboard *
  2. ta da. Your turn.
  3. ooh, cool. Ok. I'm a civil servant, and something of a loner. My illicit affair ends badly. Rats!
  4. Raskolnikov?
  5. Broad, what was he thinking?!?!
  6. And yes, Ton shouldn't be on the gravy train, he should be in the Hague!!!!
  7. Judging by the locals the Tories will reap the rewards. Depressing really, consistently the libdems are the only ones who make any sense but sadly liberal is becoming a swear word so the public will get what they deserve from their lack of imagination. Ten years down the line when a tory gov't is in disgrace they'll ....... Vote labour. Pathetic. And I'm rathe rod the opinion that brown too got what he deserves. He played the political game to get what he wanted, and agree with earlier poster saying he would put his ego ahead the good of the country or he'd do the decent thing and let the country decide, I gather we live in a democracy apparently.
  8. I'm on there as snorky. I like to think that Mikecg is really Louisa in disguise. Ooooh allbthis. Virtual crossdressing!!
  9. GB is directly or indirectly responsible fir most of our woes even if it was just a case of letting tony get away with stuff in the interests of his career. I don't hold out much hope for cameron. A man who described himself as the real heir to Blair... Oh fuck. The people around him don't strike me as particularly sharp either, just arrogant. We're basically doomed.
  10. British sea power - man of Aran, soundtrack to the 1934 silent film, with bundled DVD and soundtrack included in the price. BSP back to their sublime, even subtle best. A must have...if you think you'd pike that sort of thing.
  11. Like the mild-mannered janitor...
  12. Does ersatz mean a fake version of something else Blah? Hmmm let me think...
  13. Blears has sod all grasp on reality, and ambition unmatched by ability. Of course she thinks it's her
  14. Blears thinks it's her, blunkett will want it too. John Reid is the only one they could sell to the public. Harman could be the john major candidate, but she's tainted by sleaze, cynicism and Blair. The broomites will put someone like balls into the mix. Ed Milliband is the closest I've seen tow decent politician on their ranks, but basically they are doomed and quite rightly so.
  15. White bear on kennington has about eight screens, with sky, setanta, rte and any other relevant sporting action. But roll on the completion if the castle refurb (never have their Irish shandy though, made with orange squash)
  16. With professional journalistic standards having plummetted in recent years there could he an argument for more specialized citizen journalism. In practice though 95% of is just awful. Perhaps what's needed is a blogger to wander around critics' blogs, reviewing their output. The problem being quis custodiet ipsos custodes ;)
  17. I truly hope she becomes leader as labour will have got exactly who they deserve (plus shed render them unelectable, well more so)
  18. Ha ha, I take it all back paragon; seriously bon3yard??! whoops :D
  19. I think it's more a polemic on the state of the games industry as a whole.
  20. You've not watched many Zero Punctuation reviews have you paragon ;) I think Ben was having a slow week and felt like ranting about something a bit different.
  21. We did. Lets face, it's not a normal restaurant is it, it's an event, so it'd be daft not to. Really enjoyable evening, wines were superb and we were plastered by the end when we finally left at quarter past one. Mind you, if we're calling the Palmerston pricey *coughs and wheezes at memory of bill*
  22. I've read a large number of books on the most recent Balkan war and I have to say I'm still at a bit of a loss, so not sure how the beeb is going to do it all in a 2 minute sound bite. Though the Beeb did do the excellent 6 part documetary The Death of Yugoslavia, which did at least try to explain it, rather underming your point, but hey. All that nowithstanding...ding dong the wicked witch is dead.Just couldn't stand her at all, glad she's going bback to her constituency, stay there you hardline blairite hag, who would never utter a realistic opinion even in the most indefensible circumstances if it might affect her career, pity you didn't think of that when you were embezzling the taxpayers you twat...oh no, what's that, smoke, career? Mwaah hah hah hah hah ha
  23. You've got me Lousiana, I love my fish plaices *boom boom*. I'll give anywhere a go (fat duck a few weeks ago) but those two are just consistently excellent. I love Bentley's, especially the oyster bar downstairs; immaculate service with a big nod to old traditions whilst remaining unpretentious and friendly. Highly recommend, even if it isn't east dulwich.
  24. sorry plimsoul, keeping you up?
  25. I suspect because no EU countries have decent cricket players. It is unenforceable in cricket, it just makes no difference there.
