Aside from the dodgy torso aspect, make sure you put some money aside so that you will be able to afford the chemical peel you will need by the time you are 40 to combat the wrinkles you'll get sunbathing. Did you not get the memo about sun damage? Wrinkles? Cancer?

Philistine Keef, did you just "boo" the Pixies. Skunk Anansie is indeed playing Brixton in November. Sold out but I can get you tickets if you want. I met Skin once. She was very nice. Not as nice as Frank Black though (probably; I haven't met him). I'm very excited about the Pixies coming back to Brixton. I had hoped they would do a warm up for the Isle of Wight but 4 nights in Brixton is even better!

THE PIXIES are coming back to Brixton in October! Yeah.

Yeah Woolfie whatever. "Rutting" - that's a bit "farmyard" isn't it. Do you really say "rutting"?

bigbadwolf Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Do people still actually use the term 'crumpet' > anymore? Yes I still do actually. I use "crumpet" and also "totty". Obviously I need to update my vocab. I was with someone the other night who used the word "bonk" and I must admit that took me aback a little. I haven't heard that expression in a while.

Funny you should say that Mr Ben. Only one more sleep to go to Hyde Park so I was on the backstreets website this morning checking the setlists for the last few gigs. It appears that a few nights ago, in balmy Tennessee, Bruce sang, erm... "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". I thought it was a mistake and, whilst tutting under my breath, switched to the official site and.... well it appears he did actually sing "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" a few nights ago in summertime Tennessee. WTF. I'll be happy whatever he sings (although I'm hopefull for Thunder Road and maybe something from The River). http://www.backstreets.com/setlists.html http://www.brucespringsteen.net/live/2009setlists.html

I second that BBW. I'm bored already. (Oh my giddy aunt I've just agreed with BBW - I must go and have a lie down until it passes)

The fabulous Rodrigo Y Gabriella return with new, long awaited, vinyl in September and a night at Koko. I can't wait. http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/1F0042D9A1FA2C33

Sadly not BBW. The physical tickets had not been sent out. I think the industry was expecting further cancellations/adjustments to the schedule so was holding back until the last minute before sending the ticket out.

I feel so sorry for all the fans who have forked out for tickets, flights, hotels etc. Big big money has been spent by ordinary people. If they bought their tickets from an agency like Ticketbastard then they will get refunds (minus booking fees - and on a ?75 ticket expect about a ?10 booking fee). I fear that the secondary ticket market might not be so accommodating. All the money spent on flights too - ouch. I had a friend with premium stage-side tickets for the opening night. I had a ?10 bet with her that it would never happen. I've won my bet but it's a hollow victory (I still want the tenner though). I'm not that concerned with the big players (02 and the like) who will have lost a shed load of money (they will have insurance anyway), but I think there will be a lot of fans who have reached very deep into their pockets to see their hero and will have nothing to show for it. It's a shame really because they might be put off going to a concert again - and I'm all in favour of people going out more.

She was the most beautiful woman and also a very talented actress. RIP

I'm not sure I believe it. The BBC has dead in quotes - why's that then? I wouldn't be surprised if it's a stunt to get out of the O2 gigs which he really doesn't want to do. If I'm right then I think it's terribly sad that he's been pushed into such a tight corner. If I'm wrong, then RIP.

I have a hunch U2 might play Glastonbury this weekend. You've been warned.

Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Why on God's green earth would I read an interview > with him? I read it because, although I have a poor opinion of him, I genuinely want to believe the best of people, so I read it in the hope I might read something that would make me change my mind. Sadly, it's just 15 minutes of my life that I won't get back.

Hi TT, Dave Matthews Band, James Morrison and The Gaslight Anthem. As long as it's sunny I would like to go early. GG

Actually MM I never associated with him for his politics, but I did respect him for (I thought) staying true to his principles. I've always been a massive fan of his music and that won't change. I'll stil buy the CDs and go to the gigs. But he doesn't put his money where is mouth is so I'll take his politics with a pinch of salt.

Did anyone else read the Bono interview in the Sunday Times Magazine this week? Has it changed your opinion of him? Or do you feel that Chrissy Illey may need emergency surgery to get herself extracted from his bottom?

You couldn't be more right. I'm on the verge of having a T shirt made up with the slogan "Mick Mac is not wrong" on it. But (you could feel that little word coming couldn't you) I'm not inclined to let thing slide with the Boss. Why? Because he's used his fame as a platform for his left-wing political agenda for years (and I have no problem with that per se) and then he gets into bed with Wal-Mart for a quick buck. Everything about Wal-Mart is just wrong. Apparently there were a lot of fans turning up to his gigs in t-shirts with anti-Wal-Mart slogans and he didn't like that one bit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Wal-Mart http://wakeupwalmart.com/facts/ I would have let it slide had it been the Rolling Stones or Madonna - as greedy as hell and never pretended to be anything else. But the Boss - that sucks. And I concur, the apology was just PR. Now, whatever happened to the "hating Bono" thread.

Thunder Road makes me weep from beginning to end. I love this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8MAsAoRxqw Also a big fan of the Seeger session tour. I still haven't got my head around the Walmart debacle though. He's a rock star as rich as God and he had some fekking nerve laying that on his fans.

The area out front is roped off because he's making a point to the council. Apparently he had one too many parking tickets for his liking and then took to parking on the pavement outside his shop. He continued to get ticketed so now he ropes it off to make a point. Apparently.

Hello ED, Is there anyone going to see the Boss on Sunday that is planning to be there all day and might like a bit of company? If the weather is fine I'm tempted to go for the duration but my companion is only intending to arrive for 7pm. I would like to go for the day and see the supports, but not on my own. Anyone on the forum going and up for that? I'm vipped so I can get to the free bar and get a round in (yeah)! Px

It's contemptible to berate someone because their English usage isn?t up to scratch. Very cruel. Can?t you find something more worthy to make a point about?

Drivers beeping away on their horns at anyone who causes them annoyance is noise pollution. It?s unpleasant for everyone in earshot. Your car is fitted with a horn so you can warn others of danger; not so you can advertise your inability to control your temper.
