  1. Sean, what were you doing reading The Daily Mail?
  2. It'll be something from Mott the Hoople then huh?
  3. Oh poo. Perhaps a teensey weensey clue then? Please.

  6. Dam I knew that. I'm always too bloody late. That's what comes of having to fit the forum around work.

Thank you PCG. I would never have got that. Haven't read it. I used to be a proper little "know it all". The older I get the more certain I am that I know f*ck all. But I feel wiser. Px
  8. I saw him live twice for the first time last year; the first time at the O2 (dreadful choice of venue for him) and then at the Albert Hall. Before last year I didn't even own a LC CD. I would rate his Albert Hall concert as one of the top 5 gigs I've ever been to in my life.

Dear MikeCG, I was becoming very fond of you and I loved hearing about the magnificent Mrs MikeCG. Come back and I'll sing Take That's "Back for Good". Come on, you know you want to. Px
  10. Definitely Mr Rochester. S'cuse me though, sorry to be thick, but I didn't get the answer to PGC's. Someone tell me please. I definitely had Jah's Cold Comfort Farm one sorted - dam it I was just too late. Miffed or what.

I meant to post last week as a reminder to the good people of ED that the Donmar's winter season was about to go to public booking. Public booking opened last Monday and business has been brisk; Streetcar was an instant sell out and Red has very nearly gone. If you do want to see anything at the Donmar this winter then you need to book straight away. The Donmar takes returns so don't worry if you book for something and then later can't go. If you want to see Streetcar (or anything else that is a sell-out) then you will need to queue up early on the day for one of the 10 day seats sold on the morning of the performance (they also sell standing on the day but that's a little bit too much effort for me).
  14. I went to a stage version of the HHGTTG at the Rainbow in North London (anyone remember the place - Mr Bob Marley left his mark there once?) - we drank PGGBs from test tubes with dry ice coming from the general area of the bar. I wore an outfit with shoulder-pads and my boyfriend had a Porsche (well you had to).
  15. David, the little boy from A.I.
  16. Yes there are MM. The Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster does indeed get you very very inebriated. I tried one in the 80s and I've only just sobered up.
  17. Baba O 'Riley - The Who
  18. Sorry Mazza - how frustrating. I've never had that sort of experience with First Direct. I have however, recently had a similar experience to yours with O2 (don't get me started) so I totally understand your rant. One of my favourite websites is the Martin Lewis www.moneysavingexpert.com website. The forums are most informative. Why not spend some time on it before deciding which bank to switch to.
  19. I've been with First Direct for 18 years and they haven't put a foot wrong with me. Sorry you're having a bad time with them though Mazza. Is it a specific issue? How long have you been with them? Maybe give them another chance?
  20. What an absolute waste of space this is. How lazy do you need to be to start a pointless thread that you can't even be bothered to put an opinion in. Infantile.

    Great Gigs

There's a live Muse pre-sale here but it's Seetickets so crashed and completely hopeless. Good luck with it though http://www.seetickets.com/gigsandtours/muse/

    Great Gigs

OK I've got an O2 phone and I just took a wild guess and texted "Muse" to 2402 and it came back immediately with a pre-sale code. They haven't actually announced a pre-sale yet so I don't know when it is. But I've got a code. Yeah!

    Great Gigs

Hello Keef - Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of November. Important to get your tickets on pre-sale for this I think as it will be an instant sell-out if you wait until Friday. They may add another date (Saturday?) but you can't risk it. Do you have an O2 phone? Do you have access to an O2 phone? There will most likely be an O2 pre-sale and a venue pre-sale as well. Maybe tomorrow or maybe Thursday. I'll PM you about the pre-sales when I have the info. Very very important NOT to get tickets on Level 4 at the O2. You need standing or Level One. Don't even think about buying for Level 4 - waste of money.

    Great Gigs

Two Muse O2 Arena dates on sale Friday 5th June. If you have an O2 phone there will be a presale if you text the password (probably "Muse" but not yet confirmed) to 2402.
  25. This thread has gone alarmingly off-topic. Honestly, I go away for ten minutes and you can't be trusted. If you keep it up I will complain to Admin and each and every one of you will spend time on the naughty step. There may even be an article in the South London Press. I'm very cross. You've been warned.
