  1. Might have to pop along in October when number 4 arrives! :-o
  2. Let's hope it means they will use the night time purely for shelf filling so that the aisles aren't packed full of roll cages and trolleys all day as usual!
  3. They're still open 24 hours Mon-Fri then they close at midnight Friday.
  4. Could you not accept the Lewisham School offered, then if you prefer what Southwark offer when the time comes, contact Lewisham and decline?
  5. Sorry to go off topic but where do you take her ryedalema?
  6. Yes you can.B)
  7. Another thing worth adding is that there won't imediately be 900 boys on site, the school is being filled one form per year, the first intake was last September so if/when it opens this September there will only be 2 year groups there, and the school will fill gradually.
  8. Peckham Rye Park has long been used for school children as a sports facility, When I was at school we used to get a coach there, I don't see why that should be a problem now. It's not as if they're going to let 900 boys out in the park at the same time, unsupervised to do what they like and as someone else said, why should local kids not be allowed to use the park, it's a public space is it not? It is a great shame it has no outdoor space, but with a desperate need for secondary places in Southwark and little room to build a school especially in ED, it looks like they are trying to make the best of what they have. Will the boys school not be sharing any of the facilities of the girls school across the park?
  9. No, Sydenham Girls wear Navy.
  10. Dog Kennel Hill don't.
  11. This should be helpful: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Moneyandworkentitlements/WorkAndFamilies/Pregnancyandmaternityrights/DG_175088 I work for the NHS and added my annual leave onto the end of my mat leave too!
  12. Mine get really bad too, to the point of cracking and bleeding - my GP prescribed me a huge container of emollient cream which I always use after washing my hands (you can also get it over the counter) which has helped hugely, also try to avoid washing your hands in cold water and always wear gloves when out in this weather. My hands have been MUCH better this year, still a little dry but not red and sore at all.
  13. Dog Kennel Hill School closed tomorrow!
  14. Charter will be closed tomorrow! Bromar Road now heavily gritted - thank you Southwark Council!
  15. Charter is closing at 1pm today.
  16. Again, AVOID Bromar, Malfort and Grove Hill Roads, they are pure ice, I've seen 3 cars run into the same parked car this morning on Bromar.
  17. Dog Kennel Hill school open, just phoned them.
  18. Not seen a P13 pass at all, so presume either not running or diverted.
  19. Please DO NOT attempt to use Bromar Road as an alternative to Dog Kennel Hill, cars can not get up or down and are hitting each other and skidding all over the place, my advice is, if you have to drive, stick to the main roads!
  20. All fine here too.
  21. Yes it does, sorry forgot to say that!
  22. Thanks for that Pickle!
  23. Excellent! There'll be at least 2 girls then!
  24. Saw a notice about this yesterday at DKH school. It's a free 4 week course on Fridays at the Albrighton Centre run by Sure Start. 2-3 year olds 10.15-11.00 and 3-5 year olds 11.00 onwards (don't recall the finishing time though I think it was 45mins or an hour.) Booking is essential on 020 7277 3840 - Hoping my daughter won't be the only girl there!
  25. He was in Bermondsey yesterday and has been filming on the Heygate and Neckinger Estates over the past couple of weeks!
