    Help needed re Word

Thanks, I had already done the first part, but I've looked again and they are both ticked, and I've clicked OK again, but no joy. I can't see anywhere to click "Word" on the title bar, at least I can but nothing happens. Not sure what you mean by the rest. I can't see "preferences" anywhere. There's a "view" option, but this doesn't bring up anything relating to the scroll bars. Nor does anything else that I can see on any of the menus.

I usually use a separate keyboard and mouse with my laptop, but lately because I had it in a different room I have been using the touchpad, and I'm wondering if it's something I've accidentally done with that. It's a Dell. Nope, just had a look at the touchpad settings and there's nothing I can see that could possibly have caused the scroll bars to disappear.

    Help needed re Word

Good question! My laptop is closed down for the night. I will look in the morning, but I think it's 2016. ETA: Just realised I could look at the product key box. It's Office Home 2016 so it must be Word 2016.
  7. Is there anyone who can help with this, as it's really annoying (and yes, I have googled and posting here is my last resort). The vertical scroll bar has disappeared. I have no idea why. I am having to use the up/down and page up/page down keys to move up and down documents. The "show vertical scroll bar" is ticked in the Word settings. I have tried unticking it then ticking it again, and that didn't work. I have no idea what I might have done to cause this. It has only happened in the last couple of weeks. I've tried reducing the screen size in case the scroll bar had somehow disappeared from view off to the right, but that didn't work either. All suggestions gratefully received! And just to repeat, I have googled!!! However I accept I may have missed something vital!

I used to love seeing Concorde flying over my garden! When they withdrew Concorde, two of them flew over East Dulwich on their last flight, but sadly I missed it.

It goes down Barry Road.
  13. What is 2x2 seating? Aren't train seats always in twos? Have I missed something here?

Isn't that why Bic Basher said the 63 was quicker than the 12 to get to the Elephant, or have I misunderstood? Because the 12 goes via Camberwell and the Walworth Road?

This is a thread about problems with Royal Mail. If you don't like it, why not go and read something else?

The last time I used my car was to take my Christmas tree back to my allotment, and now my battery is flat😭 hopefully not irreversibly damaged 😭 Oh and CPR Dave, wouldn't it be cheaper to get your groceries delivered, even with the delivery charge?

I am taking some small electrical items to the Sydenham Hill recycling place (by bus and foot) If you would like me to take yours too, please PM me. Please don't bin them!

Thank you for that, we were thinking of returning for a walk (and a pub lunch!) Unfortunately the other pubs in Shoreham (I think there are another two?) aren't anywhere near as nice.
  20. It's great that he is recovering well, but that seems very odd that he can't be reunited with his family. I get that it's an invasive species, but he was here already! Is the issue that he might produce more goslings (well, father more goslings)?

Yeh, great service at Vits + Kicks. The meal I had wasn't very filling, but probably a poor choice. Nice cocktails!

I can't remember its name, but somebody on here will, I'm sure. It was just down from The Palmerston, if memory serves. It was great. Nobody went to it. It closed down.
