Is there any reason why the netting needs to be wire, rather than plastic? I have no intention of sliding about on my back beneath the floor 😂

I agree that would be the ideal option, but I suspect clearing out the cellar would be massively expensive. Who would do that kind of work? A general builder? My floorboards are a bit of a mishmash, and are painted white, so I'm not too bothered about damage as they need repainting anyway.
  3. The three remaining Egyptian goslings in Peckham Rye park are getting quite big now ❤️

I do have some rugs. I can't insulate the floor from underneath because my cellar is mostly filled with rubble, so I can't get at it. I believe this is from when the house was first built (it's an Edwardian/Victorian terrace, and someone once told me the builders put all their rubble into every fifth house's cellar. No idea if that is true). Has anybody insulated their floor from above, by taking up the floorboards, and if so how did you do it?

But surely there was an increase in volume due to people buying things online?
  7. I recently read Riddley Walker. Seems to me that's where we are heading 😶

Does it still work with just the nose? I assumed they were totally different tests. I can do the throat but I hate doing it (well, I don't suppose anybody likes doing it!)
  10. Well, this is cheery ....

  12. I'm a bit confused. First the tests were throat and nose swabs. Then they were just nose (hooray!) Now they seem to have gone back to to throat and nose (boo). Are they just using up old stock, or what?

Why on earth would you take the time and travel costs to go to Vauxhall to buy your fruit and veg wholesale? Where do you think greengrocers (and most other shops) get their stock from if not from a wholesale source? And why shouldn't shops make a profit? They aren't charities, plus they are providing a service which people want. I don't shop in Bora because I get an Oddbox plus I have an allotment, but I like to know it's there, and their displays are fantastic!

Years ago some estate agents were calling it "East Dulwich Village". When I bought my (small, terraced) house it was described as an "artisan's cottage" 🤣🤣🤣
