  1. The new Blank & Blank! Edited because that subject has a one month ban.
  2. Do you mean this one? or that one?
  3. . . . . along with Fluffy.
  4. The cheque's in the post . . . edit for missing comma
  5. I have a friend who does Pampered Chef from home, in between bringing up 2 toddlers and she makes a nice whack on top of free weekends away with hubby as a prize for being top salesperson. She's always looking to recruit. PM me if you want to be put in touch with her.
  6. Surely you'd expect to see gay men kissing in a gay bar? What i find strange is that coming from a community that expects non gays to be tolerant and sensitive towards their needs you seem to paint all mothers with the same broad brush on the back of one experience. That's akin to saying all gay men are uptight and over strung (which I know they're not).
  7. I moved here with my baby breeding partner many years ago because of the village atmosphere and the abundance of idiots. Obviously still one left.
  8. Try Souperman, he might need a sidekick (or just a kick).
  9. You must have been catatonic
  10. Hi my name is Cactus Jack I run the company MrCactusFlapFitter.co.uk The thorny comments about me from Mr Palaeologus are completely untrue. He asked me round to quote on his flaps and despite me bending over backwards I have not received any deposit from him, despite constructing a top of the range cactus flap from toughened cactus resistant glass. I believe the real culprit is Fluffy who is a bit of a prick tease. I know I was busy (it was close to Christmas) but Fluffy has been constantly bringing stray Holly through a flap that was not designed for such a purpose and then perforating them on the kitchen floor. This is really beginning to needle me. You can talk to any of my customers who will be more than happy to tell you that I have left them completely satisfied with their custom flaps at a discounted price of ?750.
  11. I think I bumped into it earlier today on the Lane. I said "'ello Vera!" but it just muttered something about slapping a fox on Goose Green last night.
  12. I wonder if they taste as good as Pigeon? Perhaps a nice alternative to BBQ Grey Squirrel.
  13. Unfortunately I had to miss the last drinks which is a shame as it seems there were many new faces to meet. I'm up for the Herne. I'm boycotting The Vale ever since a heavily pregnant Mrs LL was refused use of the loo some time ago. Second choice would be The Alleyns Head. Not a very attractive pub but decent range of Ale and a huge outdoor area so that smokers and non smokers can mix.
  14. Definitely worth a visit if you've not been before. There's a beautiful derelict chapel and sometimes an old time woodman turning table legs on a lathe made from a springy tree and a bit of string, or perhaps he's a ghost.
  15. One of my favourite routes is a nice chilled circuit that takes you through A lively Camberwell and up the Walworth Rd (after negotiating DK Hill) cross the E&C to Southwark Bridge Stroll along the Southbank and perhaps stop for a coffee and cake. Saddle up at the London Eye Cycle over Westminster Bridge and past Parliament as you head along the embankment. Come back South over the Albert Bridge Nip into Battersea Park and follow the Thames to Queenstown Rd. Then head straight up towards Clapham, through Brixton, Herne Hill and Dulwich Village and finally back at the EDT in ED. Great when the weather is like this and always plenty going on.
  16. You Make Me Wanna Squirt - Lulu (Chav remix)
  17. That's a shame. A good alternative are the oysters at Franklins, in the afternoon sun with a cold pint of Guinness.
  18. Quite likely. How long will it run on battery alone? I'm assuming normal time around 3 hours on power saver setting so anything less than an hour means it's buggered. Whatever you do, replace it with a proper battery not a cheap one from China as it will work out more expensive in the end.
  19. Traffic around E&C / Walworth Rd was shocking today and he's only been Mayor a few hours
  20. What's a good (grown up!) bundle to buy?
  21. I'm sorry to see Ken go, I think he built the position of Mayor of London into a pivotal position for London and the whole country. I'd like to see Boris succeed (party colours to one side) because this city deserves all the help it can get to make it a better place to live in. Let's hope he really can have a positive impact on crime and our clogged up transport infrastructure over the next 4 years.
  22. Gods Window in Mpumulanga (or in my case a damn fine view). A Leopardess leading her cubs to a fresh kill in Sabi Sabi. An 8m Southern Right Whale calf in Walkers Bay, diving under your boat and then popping up the other side to have a curious look at you. Looking straight up a 40' vertical wall of lush coloured coral as the sun light filters through clear blue water in the Great Barrier Reef. The view from the 1,250th step above Tiger Cave in Krabi. The innocent face of a sleeping child. Moscow at night after a fresh fall of virgin snow (different story in the morning).
  23. Could've been a loony eclipse>:D
