To be serious, I find your story inspiring on many levels. However, I think one is not a monster to seriously question whether such experiences qualify you for political office. It's subtext seems to suggest those who have worked hard from early days and made better choices are some how cookie cutter politicians we should disdain, while those who made poorer choices but turned it around at halftime should skyrocket into positions of power. If I had a vote in Riverside, which I don't, I would not vote Green anyway. If I did decided to vote Green, or to vote based solely on the people and not their party, I would discount you from my shortlist. I'm being honest but again, am inspired and heartened by your ability to turn such poor choices into positives.
