  9. There are lots of elderly residents whose gardens have gone crazy and need help clearing them. I know of someone that does this and may be able to point him in the right direction. Pm me if you're want to get in touch with them.
  10. Same thing happening in peckham Huge jump in the past few months of a similar ilk About to get worse when the powers-that-be start printing money Depressing when you need more space
  11. If they don't search there's no fun in sneaking stuff in. Where's the sport in just taking the phone in your pocket? I loved rules like this. It just gave us more thrills when we successfully broke them. Totally in favour of search. I was awful at school. Teachers need support not questioning like this!
  12. ... And even more pressure upwards when the BoE accepts the only way out of this mess is to print money. Bailing out all those huge mortgages and pushing up prices further still. Lesson? Get a load more debt and keep buying!
  13. I'm at elephant now and the 63 is definitely running. Approx every ten mins or so. As is the 343 and 188
  14. but CF is a genetic disease and the test at birth would have been definitive (assuming it was a genetic test) for the mutations that they tested for. - surely the proportion of mutations that she tested negative for can now be ruled out therefore the probability of having another mutation will be much lower than standard CF mutation edit to say - it's not a genetic test at birth - just a screening test... so you're right it wont be definitive.
  15. but the odds of Newmother's daughter actually having CF are much lower if she's had these tests at birth? fingers xed for you NM.
  16. urgh! what a pain in the bum thanks for the tip
  17. very helpful - thank you
  18. thanks for replying - what time does your 745 get in? and are you getting it from east dul road bus stop?
  19. how reliable is this service? i'm thinking of asking our aupair to do drop in the morning - to school in West Dulwich, by bus i'm worried that this tiny bus will get filled up and she'll miss it - meaning late for school etc is it a reliable / easy to get on bus - does anyone know? we'd be aiming for the 8.15 from East Dulwich which says it arrives at 8.42 at West Dulwich Train station is this wishful thinking? thanks
  20. also, please dont get one of those fashionable large headed showers - they never get enough power and it's impossible to wash your hair! plus if you go for a fixed head - get a small flexi head to wash down screens and walls.
  21. I found mine eating sudocream once...
  22. Fiat multipla
  23. Goodness me. I think we should let this thread die a *natural* death...
  24. just be open and honest with them but you need to do some research first... call up tinies nanny agency and explain your work load and ask them what the range of expected pay is. if yours is differnet then are in a good position to negotiate. then say you'd love to keep working with them but feel that the original job spec has slightly changed and that you've spoken to an agency, and they've given you a guide salaray range of X-Y / hour also, youre in a different year, so you should expect an in-line with inflation rise anyway -that's what we give our nanny each year.
  25. any ideas what this means? a group of 7 young lads just walked down the middle of our road, all wearing jumpers with 'ys dully white' on the back seemed nice and smiley, harmless group of lads. - just wondered what it was/meant? edit: just found out it stands for White Dulwich Gang based in kingswood estate, dulwich - nice i wish they'd stay in dulwich and stop lowering the tone of peckham.. tut tut
