All fine till the government tells us how - when riding at 10mph - you cause far less damage to someone's insides than you would do hitting them at 20mph, because they crossed the road without looking even though it's not your fault, and so we'll have a blanket ten miles an hour across the whole borough / London. And then all fine till the government tells us how when riding at 5mph you cause far less damage to someone's insides when you hit them because they crossed the road without looking even though it's not your fault, and so we'll have a blanket five miles an hour across the whole borough / London. What!

A plain chocolate hob nob biscuit on a plate next to me mug of tea. Someone else said similar; I concur!

Someone saying 'Thank you' when I have done my job well. A good motorcycle ride specially when it involves mountains or the coastline. But even just going to the West End or The City and seeing Big Ben or Tower Bridge makes me so happy to be in London. Waking up with a sleeping Spacey cat next to me. (Just HAD to put photo MrPR took one morning!) Walking through Peckham Rye Park!

NHS - Summary Care Records. In or Out?

I ride a motorcycle. Your point is? -
The battered For Sale sign hangs precariously on the outside of the pub above the faded Sky Sports banner. Sky has not been shown in the pub for years, and anyway, most of them prefer to watch the horse racing. Maureen, the barmaid, shows off her new nails to Trev, the landlord who she realises is now her boyfriend. He has a go at her for wasting their money when they need to save to get Kevin the Staffie castrated. They both love Kevin very much. Kevin loves this pub and his new owners. He was bought by them off Jason who wasn't too nice to him. Kevin still walks with a limp. He knows seven words now! Walk. No. Dinner. Stay. Good Boy and from his previous owner Kill. (Edited to change the barmaid's name to Maureen as per previously mentioned!)

You're having traffic angering* measures, in those streets? Wow! (* Well they don't calm me down!) Was talking to prospective tory councillors about this the other day - not that I'd ever vote tory you understand - but they seemed to agree that road bumps / cushions are more dangerous. The Institute of Advanced Motoring says one should drive to plan in advance, look as far ahead as possible to give yourself time to make decisions, but with road bumps everywhere that can't happen. Having said that, I am glad some money is going to make the roads smoother - apart from if they put bumps in!

BH5 I was not being patronising, spectacularly so or otherwise. See? You're contributing to the nastiness. It's so easy.

NHS - Summary Care Records. In or Out?

Well quids what happens now? You're rushed in unconscious with no ID. They take a blood sample, they take a little time maybe with help of police but they get enoiugh info to get you safe whilst more info is gleaned from police or a witness, someone phones saying you've gone missing, you're IDd. Sorted. Hope it never happens. SOOOO wear an ID tag with your name and NHS number Hospital Number blood group DONOR CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I allowed to say this? Carry a donor card. Write on it what you're allergic to. It's not a signature you over eager moderators. -
I also agree with giggirl. If your breath reeks of cigarettes and you have a paunch, who cares your hair is grey?

Just spent ages when I shoulda been working to read all four pages of this thread. What a lot of nonsense. I agree moderators should be IDd with their name as they are in other forums I am a member of. They're like prefects - you might behave better around them. This forum is a microcosm of society, which itself many believe is 'sick'. Anthropologists study societies gone sick and try to explain why things happened; this one is no different. But unlike discussing things in person, we can't see one another's faces to read what's not being said - it's like we're all wearing veils... so we misunderstand one another. I am sorry that some people were hurt and upset but there's people dying out there in earthquakes and starving, so get a grip on what is important and follow the universal one law that James May made up. Don't be a prat.

I have a great recipe for the American pancakes which are thicker and scrummy. Unfortunately it is now Wednesday and I totally forgot to do any of this last night. I spent too much time reading my summary care records.....

NHS - Summary Care Records. In or Out?
PeckhamRose replied to Peckhamgatecrasher's topic in The Lounge
I am opting out. This is all very important and it distresses me that so many of you are not bothering to read it all. By not acting on it your records will be put on the summary care record. It can not be deleted. Who knows if it can be amended. And currently it will only be available to health professionals. Currently. In future I don't see why health professionals working for insurance companies will not be able to access the information and make judgements on your suitability to be insured because of some gene you possess which may in the future.... you see where I am going with this. I am out of it. I am out of the national spine too, which I thought was the same thing but anyway I opeted out of that. As for the lost file, SteveT - I too experienced Kings losing my file years ago. Allow human error, they maybe just filed it under SteveS or SteveU. It's inconvenient and maybe dangerous depending on the situation, but it is human error. The summary care record could also have human error attached that can not be deleted (unlike your paper files which can be, if you then find you have to go to another department after the one you're in and they 'trust' you to take your own files with you.....and you need to go to the loo, etc etc) Anyway, Summary Care Records: I have opted out, and to those of you who can't be arsed to even read this stuff, I hope everything goes well for you in the future! -
Such ridiculousness. The Peckham Rye Park is in peckham Rye so why is it not Peckham Rye Ward? And I did email the Peckham Rye snt after your first posting, emily but they never got back to me.
-
May I ask you to email [email protected] to ask him for information for the minutes for tonight's meeting and future ones, and to be put on the list so you'll be told when the next meetings are. I can't go tonight either.
-
Compare the DON'T MAKE ME SAY IT. I hate the advert and I will never use the product website. But it's brilliant. But I hate it.
-
Just to add that the meeting was indeed changed and the meeting is tonight Tuesday 16th Feb. I hope you can make it!

Yet more road works on Forest Hill Roads
PeckhamRose replied to dbboy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Echo that raydalema on the other side, too, where one is coming from East Dulwich but wants to turn right up the second set of traffic lights to go south up the hill towards Cheltenham Road / Brockley. The only time we can turn right at both junctions is after the red lights, or we're stuck there for hours with cars and (in my case) the 484 bus pushing us from behind (not literally). So we take our chances and become criminals. -
Are you sure? In my diary it's not till Thursday 4th March. Who told you it's tomorrow? Nik Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The next Peckham Rye Police Ward Panel meeting is > tomorrow evening at Harris Girls School at 7pm. > The meetings are open to all and are usually > attended by local Police, PCSOs, Community > Wardens, representatives from Friends of Peckham > Rye Park and residents.
