  1. 123-reg are truly peeing me off. Every year a new problem and this year their instructions do not marry with what I see before me. Any advice welcome. Mine is a small webpage and I only update it a few times a year depending on jobs! About ten photos and a link to YouTube videos. Thanks for your advice.
  2. pedestrians 1st who are on mobiles then as for drivers: SOME cyclists Some bus drivers some bikers some car drivers of which most young women and all on those on mobiles Hardly any taxi drivers. As a biker I find them the best!
  3. Thanks. will try one then the other! Never occurred to me that Tablets don't come with USB ports!
  4. Thanks El Pibe!!
  5. Can it be done? Doesn't look like it. Can't see a USB port. Anyone know of any other way? And - bug ger!
  6. My darling cat has just died and I have a CATMATE available you can have in exchange for nice bottle of red. If you are away all day or overnight (probably later when she's grown up!) then you can set the feeder to open at say 4 and 8 hours for example. It goes to 48 hours and there are two compartments. I also have a freezer section that goes in the base to keep said food cold, and if you come TODAY I'll give you a ball of wool. Hours of fun... We're on east Se15 side of Peckham Rye Park.
  7. ddunwoody MrPRs bike was insured with Carole Nash. It was nicked. She paid back about two and a half pence. Never again are we insuring with her.
  8. Coffee. Worked in the adverts. But before you approach him or her - think yourself in to the situation where this has happened and you really don't like him/her or she/he doesn't like you after all, and the embarrassment that may cause.
  9. Adorable, c shorty. Adorable!
  10. Just got tx for Democracy at Old Vic opens 15 June or thereabouts. David Cann is in it. Yknow, the one who was in Chris Morris' Brass Eye and Jammmmmm.
  11. Maybe they are at the mercy of their satnavs and know no better. But I agree with the above, tell councillors.
  12. Try JFK snooker club near - just past the Co-op funeral place on Rye Lane.
  13. "It was better when I was alive..."
  14. Excellent - thanks! If you change the title of this thread to "Useful cooking tips" it could be good. Whether you do or don't here's another one I learned: For cheese sauce, cover grated cheese in a heaped tablespoon of cornflour and mix it up so the cheese is well covered. Then put the lot into the warm water or milk, and stir till it thickens. It tastes better and won't go lumpy. Now you can do the cauliflour cheese!
  15. That's my late breakfast all over the floor.
  16. I wrote to the practice manager of my surgery about this and here are edited parts of her reply. " ... it is a national directive. Perhaps patients can raise their concerns through their MP or local PALS team. The data the Health Authority pulls will not be clinical, just statistical. The aim is to make sure GP practices only get paid for real patients."
  17. Seek the Ladies kickabout section in the What's On section, they play every Sunday at 12 till 2 on Peckham Rye Park. It's been going well over a year now!
  18. I just did the test and came out Lib Dem by a big margin then Labour. AGH! I thought I detested LibDems! Now what do I do!
  19. Green - most of the other candidates are adopting green policies anyways and to be fair to Southwark Council, they have a brand new refuse and recycling facility now and it really is up to us to be 'green' and recycle. If She got in (don't make me say the name of that daft woman) life would get a whole lot worse. She really does live in another fairy world.
  20. The god of Dawkins! I personally pray to my cat. She sits there with her fat belly in a buddha like pose and when I get angry or irritated I stroke her like some people stroke their catholic beads (I never understood that but when I looked it up the list got all anal on me) and her purring calms me down.
  21. The UKIP candidate was interesting, he said he would take the highways away from the 33 boroughs and have just the one rule for all of London. That made sense to me as someone who rides all over London a lot! But I still won't be voting for him!
  22. Peckham Rye on the 639 and 732 exchange is not yet, and yet I saw a BT engineer recently and he told me it was. Pahhhhh. And now they're selling Infinity 2!
  23. I agree. Strength in numbers. I would have no fear in approaching a parent of an unruly child or dog and ask them to behave themselves and show some respect. But I would have better reaction if people backed me up, just as you can be absolutely sure that I would back someone up if they got to the idiots first!
  24. Depending on where you live and if you are in their catchment area I strongly recommend Nunhead Surgery. They have late opening Tuesdays. And they have 020 number with no call centre attitude, and have lovely doctors. They are on Nunhead grove and some of SE22 I believe is in their catchment but I am not sure which.
  25. On a bigger scale of things, Kings College Hospital governors and staff are more than aware of the nightmare of the car parking situation, and Lambeth have refused permission for them to build a multi storey car park. Everyone needs to write to Lambeth Council planning to ask them about this. Having said that, I remember some time ago reading on this very site, something about possible moves in this area and that we should watch this space. Who was it, and what was that news!?
