  1. I agree by and large but don't see what a "Chelsea lifestyle" has to do with any of these things. 2. Do you need a "Chelsea lifestyle" to use estate agents/pizza/indian/Italian/gift shops then?
  3. The Garrison on Bermondsey Street is also fab.
  4. Some people obsess over this and it bothers them. Most of us barely notice it. It's all about perception.
  5. A doner kebab is far less healthy than a franco manca pizza. That sort of meat would cancel out any health benefits from the cheap salad. Everything in moderation.
  6. It's not our fault that chickens are daft (not as daft as vegans though.)
  7. A tv that old is worth next to nothing. Why not give it to a charity that accepts electrical items?
  8. There are no taller trees on GG roundabout for good reasons, practical and aesthetic. Fantastic that there are plans for lots of trees elsewhere though.

  10. These people really should start worrying about things that matter.
  11. Vegans are silly.
  12. The Goose Green roundabout would be a really bad idea for visibility for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
  13. There are so many petitions nowadays. Although I do think the "fireworks season" does go on for too long, there are much more worthwhile things to make a petition about. The sheer ubiquity of them is resulting in none of them having any impact.

And I'm including > Finger Lickin' Chicken in that. Yes, I did go once, a couple of months in and it was bad. Pretty crappy food, overpriced and lacking in atmosphere, despite being busy. I imagine that's one of the problems, they still weren't getting it right at that stage and like us, many probably went just the once and decided not to return. These days there are quite a few good places locally for food in that price bracket and below, so anything that isn't good enough won't survive for long.
  15. Nice. Hope your Mum recovers quickly.

The food was utterly mediocre, the service amateur and the atmosphere cold and dead, despite being quite busy at the time. And yes, WAY overpriced.
  17. The place was rubbish when it reopened so gawd knows how bad it is now. Those tripadvisor reviews say it all really.
  18. Are women allowed on the business thread?
  19. Why are women so clueless Alan Medic? Go on tell us.
  20. He's a tedious turd monkey.
  21. Nah - wrong tables.
  22. I live in Camberwell now too and really don't think it's bad. I didn't when I lived in East Dulwich and I don't now. I don't see the point in these petitions - they are just designed to divert planes over someone else's house. Why would anyone take that idea seriously and how is that reasonable? I'm inclined to agree with Nigello - if you want to hear it you will.

Time Out was once thrilling to read. Pre-Internet it was the only way to find out what was going on in London.
