  1. Dog owners: Never lose your remote control again. Simply sellotape it to the back of your dog, and hey presto! Whistle, and the device is at your beck and call! This can also apply to hot drinks, after intense training.
  2. Dog owners: Don't waste money on a lead. Simply walk your dog backwards holding it's tail.
  3. Yes it's true Clare I would. However, did the OP not write that the owner had told her that the vet said the dog was ok? I'm currently on holiday in Greece, and you should see the way the dogs are treated out here! Now that really upsets me as it seems quite clear that they are treated cruelly. Most of them look mangy and underfed. I think dogs back in the UK can sometimes be pampered and I don't think that's good for them. Anyway, I'm off to the beach to top up my tan. :)
  4. I'm sorry if I have caused offence. It was not intended despite my post appearing abrupt. But my sentiments remain the same. I love dogs and we used to have a lovely alsation when I was a kid, but they are not humans and therefore should not be humanized (not sure if that's the right word)
  5. Mind your own business ? They're dogs, not children.
  6. Smokers. Save ???s every year on matches and expensive cigarette lighters by simply lighting your cigarette with the butt of your previous one.
  7. I'm just about to have breakfast then heading down to the beach as I'm in Greece at the moment. :) Bit sad that I still can't resist checking in on EDF I suppose, but there you go. Have a lovely weekend everyone.
  8. I'm currently in Greece but would like to come along to first meeting in sep. Always been curious about the WI. Does this mean I'm finally accepting the onset of middle age? :(

Ivor Biggun has been busy and has been working on the perfect crime. The crime of the century in fact. He has been hanging out with dysfunctional teenagers and wickedly throwing bottles and eggs at peoples windows.

Granny by Spike Milligan Through every nook and every cranny The wind blew in on poor old Granny Around her knees, into each ear (And up nose as well, I fear) All through the night the wind grew worse It nearly made the vicar curse The top had fallen off the steeple Just missing him (and other people) It blew on man, it blew on beast It blew on nun, it blew on priest It blew the wig off Auntie Fanny- But most of all, it blew on Granny!

The swift action of the heroic curtain twitching EDF-posting forumites has raised the issue of muggers just in the nick of time. Unfortunately it didn't save the sozzled James Barber from a horrendous beating by his assailants. But at least all East Dulwich residents can now live safe in the knowledge that vigilant and conscientous nosey b*stards are doing all in their power to ensure that there is a healthy debate about mugging and what to do about it....

In fact James Barber decided to go out on the p1ss to celebrate. And as he stumbled home that night, totally trolleyed, he was set upon by a group of muggers. As he was being mugged a few people looked out of their windows, saw what was happening and took immediate decisive action. They posted about it on the forum.

Tesco Express was left dessimated. A crater was now all that remained....with a few tubs of margarine strewn around. Only one man could have been responsible for such evil. The man who was made to feel like an outcast when he visited the Tesco looking for margarine. Twirly's other half....

I've always loved the English Impressionists myself. Here's one below. http://www.britishclassiccomedy.co.uk/wp-content/themes/networkwp/scripts/timthumb.php?src=http://www.britishclassiccomedy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/eddie_yarwood_203_203x152.jpg&w=170&h=125&zc=1&q=100

...Alas, dead as a dodo. But strangely I rose up out of my now dead body and suddenly realized I was now a ghost. Now I would do whatever I could to gain revenge on the people who wanted me dead. Whoever they were.....

At least I thought it did...but no.....I was still alive. I pulled the axe out of my head and planted it firmly in my asssailants head and then went back into the EDT to finish my pint.....
