Certainly true that many but not all red berries are poisonous. Br aware though. some red berries that are a tasty snack for birds, are poisonous to humans. Probably don't taste too good. Best left well alone. DulwichFox
  3. XFactor. Who cares who wins.. ? Leona Lewis was probably the best thing to come out of the show. . and in general, we don't see much of her any more. unless you are a fan and follow her. Foxy

  6. Was looking at some Sunday Menus.. Noticed one place advertising that they use 'New' potatoes for their roasties. Can't help but think they would not be the best choice for crispy roast spuds.. Foxy
  7. The only place I ever eaten Sunday Roast is The Victoria Inn Peckham. I won a Sunday Lunch there on Twitter. Been a few times But not for a couple of years now. Was always nice. I had the Brisket. Best Roasties are the ones I cook myself. King Edward spuds par boiled and left to steam off on a rack before roasting in Beef dripping. Do NOT shake. Foxy
  8. I once totally gave up all alcohol.. Worse day of my life. Foxy
  9. To say that sending 'petty' thieves to prison will make them worse criminals and introduce them to drugs is ridiculus. Many 'petty' thieves steal to feed an existing drug dependency. Taking peoples property (often at knife point) is NOT petty and warrants long sentencing. The situation in our prisons need addressing but that is a separate issue. The Police themselves have recently come under attack from large groups of school children. .. but are powerless to do anything to defend themselves. The situation is out of control.. The courts are lenient. Knife crime is rife and very little is being done to stop it. It's a crime to be a victim.. "Oh you should of taken more care.. " "Why did you get your mobile phone out on the street." " Sorry. Your phone is not covered by your insurance as you put yourself at risk" The criminals have 'Human Rights' Victims rights don't mount to anything. It is a situation that can only get worse.. That is right ... None of the programmes were filmed in Peckham.. Mostly filmed in Ealing and Bristol. The Nags Head Pub in Peckham was originally The Morning Star. I do not remember ever seeing the outside of the Nags Head in the programme. Always the interior. (Studio). Foxy

Car addicts will say any old rot to try and make people as scared of change as they are. Shame on you Dulwich Fox! Please be mindful of the air quality and obesity crises London is facing and CHANGE YOUR WAYS I have already said I walk to the park.. Elsewhere I have written that I mainly use my car for my weekly shop.. I average <20 miles per week in my car. so hardly a car addict. I walk an average of 5-8 miles a day. I am in my mid 60's and I am not obese. 9 Stone . So please eat your words of advice.. DulwichFox
  17. What about Cat Friendly.? Can I bring In my pet Black Panther.. Very friendly.. Likes children.. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/resources/images/4918130.jpg?display=1&htype=0&type=responsive-gallery Foxy
  18. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Fox, are you suggesting that one day, we might be > able to do our weekly food shopping without > leaving the home? As an example .. Take a manned mission to Mars.. Do we really need to risk Human life when we can send robots and the like to do the same work.. Likewise sending ones own driverless car to do the shopping seems to make perfect sense. I will be safely tucked up at home. On a serious note.. I believe there are services that actually send out Pizzas (stash ?)in small electric 'carts' Guided to your door by GPS. Foxy
  19. Taking this all to extremes.. I mostly use my car to do my weekly shop.. Perhaps I could get myself a driverless car... GPS.. and programme in the co-ordinates of Tescos Surrey Quays. Send the car off to collect my Pre-ordered goods. Sit back with a nice cold beer and await the return of my order. The car would self park outside my home in its reserved space.. and text me to let me know it has arrived. DulwichFox

  21. BrandNewGuy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It could be disabled parking only. Why..? Do only disabled people go to the park.. ? I walk to the park but there are some folk who are not registered disabled that still have mobility issues. There was a car park there long before the Caf? was built. There was an old caf? where the toilets are now.. The ones that in the main are closed / locked up. Sunday morning on Blackheath there used to be lots of people with their kite and other activities. A virtual ban on parking has resulted in very few people using the heath these days. If the parking is further restricted, the caf? will not be viable and will be forced to close. DulwichFox
