Not really.. The original question refered to the Domestic situation.. not commercial.. Foxy

" Thank you JohnL for confirming that.. I think there may be some old format screens for use with Desk Tops and also some Apple Mac systems.. Only ever see wide screen format in laptops though.. They do vary in size to suit preferences in portability. The Aspect Ratio can cause problems especially when watching films.. You may get black bands at the top and bottom of the screen. This can usually be resloved in Settings. DulwichFox.

  4. I have seen pubs having to buy ice when they have run low or their ice machines are on the blink. (Most pubs use a lot of ice to fill the glass then top up with a tad of soda .. cola or orange juice) I suspect some small bars may need to buy ice from time to time. Foxy
  5. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Fox, I am talking about the physical size of the > screen. > > The dimensions. Whether it is turned on or off. Well Sue.. Yes.. They are all wide screen now.. like our Television screens.. When you watch an old film / program on TV. they are in a different format.. ... so if you view full screen, bits are cut off.. or the proportions are stretched in the horizontal so everyone looks short and fat. Same with PC's. Websites will not fit so the resolution needs to be adjusted to get the best results.. I have used wide format screens for years so I am used to how things look. All new websites are designed around widescreen. No one designs sites for the old square monitors any more. Websites need to be able to detect which browser you are using and your screen res. and format and even change your settings for optimum viewing performance. Foxy. Foxy.
  6. It's all down to screen resolutions and settings.. It's a pain cos your website may no longer display correctly. When designing a web page, it is important to know how it views in other devices.. PC's Laptops, Tablets , Ipods and phones. Dreamweaver CS6 and above enables designers to create pages that view correctly on all devices using Fluid Grid Layouts. https://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081019140541AAYCdJE.. Foxy
  7. Who buys Ice Cubes. ? If you have a Freezer make your own.. If you don't have a freezer and buy a bag of ice cubes... How are you going to store them. ? Foxy..
  8. Natural rights are those that are not dependent on the laws, customs, or beliefs of any particular culture or government, and therefore universal and inalienable (i.e., rights that cannot be repealed or restrained by human laws). The concept of natural law is closely related to the concept of natural rights. Sir Isaac Newton and Voltaire introduced the secularist view of the universe ... nature had endowed human beings with certain inalienable rights Just Zebedee Tring trying to sound intellegent.. Lol.. There are Green Chili Cheese Fries - Fries with Green Chili Sauce.. and ... Buffalo Fries - Fries topped with House-Made Buffalo Sauce.. also .. Hippie Fries - Fries with Hippie Sauce.. Is sauce the same as gravy..? Foxy
  11. I cannot see sense in marked bays being 'NO PARKING' Only authorised wardens can issue tickets so how would they know if you were using a particular shop and parked outside another. Warren Evans (Hand made beds) in Clapham Junction hasin NO PARKING outside their showroom but they can issue you with a pass that enables you to park outside whilst in their shop. Is this the same up my the vets.. ? DulwichFox

The Cappuccino I had at The Small White Elephant in Choumert Road Peckham was very good.. Staff at both places were very friendly and welcoming.. DulwichFox

  23. Bovine Juice.. I remember Terry Liddle (1948-2012) who was campaigning against The B.N.P. in the 70's naming and shaming them. Terry lived in Eltham S.E. London. We all know the traggic incidence of Stephen Lawence.. Stephen Lawrence was a Black British man from Eltham, south east London, who was murdered in a racially motivated attack while waiting for a bus on the evening of 22 April 1993. The BNP problem has NOT gone away in Eltham and surrounding area. NOT a pinch of salt.. Ignore it at your peril.. Have you ever seen Cabaret.. Do not think it could never happen again. It will if you ignore it.. DulwichFox

Standing Room Only at Latest Bexley BNP Meeting It was standing room only at the latest meeting of the British National Party in Bexley with a third of the audience being first time attendees at a party function, reports new Branch Secretary Peter Frank.
