  1. So what did people do for Fresh Pasta before Burro e Salvia opened. ? Oddly enough on a recent James Martin program a Top Chef from a Prodigious Italian London Restaurant explained how all their 'Fresh' Pasta was left to Dry over night and was Always made the day before. If you do not have the facilities to dry your Pasta correctly, the best alternative is to buy fresh pasta from your nearest Supermarket.
  2. I had a great meal last night...All my food was lovely. It was a bit chaotic.. There is a notice on the door this morning saying the place needs to be emptied by 16th Feb. I Spoke to the owner this morning who confirmed they were closing down. He was 16 ? when I first starting using the place in 1971/2 Will be sadly missed. Was my Restaurant of choice for take away due to the proximity of my gaff. Foxy
  3. I was never a fan of The Flying Pig. Found it lacking in Soul and never seemed that busy. I Used to use the place quite often when it was Locale. That too was never really busy. I suspect its a question of its location. Could prove to be a great Day Time summer location.

  5. Do dogs keep rats away? Can a pet dog help repel rats? Unfortunately, not really. read more.. http://www.attic-rat.com/dog.html DulwichFox
  6. All the pubs on Lordship lane and surrounding area are going to be empty and will face ruin.
  7. All done.. Dry February.. ??? How did you do Tosca O.P. ??

  9. I cant remember if it was the Co-Op or M&S, But a couple of days ago there was a guy behind me getting very irate as we walked along Lordship Lane. He was swearing and saying 'Who the F*** is that' There was a guy sitting on the floor outside one of the stores. The guy behind me tore into the guy on the floor saying 'Oiy you cannot sit on MY Pitch. they guy jumped up and just said 'Alright mate' and he left. I do not think he was actually begging. He did not have all the usual 'paraphernalia' associated with begging. Blanket, Sign, Cup for cash, Dog. My point is that there seems to be some pecking order associated with aggression and threating behaviour. I do not think some of these people are in genuine need. Anyone who was, would soon be ousted
  10. You should NOT refill plastic water bottles. It says this very clearly on the label. 'Do NOT reuse bottle or cap' As the Bottle ages and gets squeezed it cracks inside and chemicals can leach into the contents. Also washing the bottle can make this problem worse and there is a serious risk of contamination from bacteria. The proposed water refill scheme is seriously flawed.

Never seen it done, would not eat anywhere that does it. I?m not saying that?s what this place does; I have no idea why they only serve scrambled. How do you think they prepare scrambled eggs in Schools and Hospitals ?? Cook them individually ? Don't be ridiculous.. DulwichFox

(easy) Then just put a dollop of it on toast and you are done. Fried eggs need to be done individually. Poached eggs are a little more tricky and chefy to get them right.
  13. Curry Cabin is fine.. Where to meet for Drinky Poos Foxy
  14. What evidence do you have that these people are Ex-Offenders as you put it. ? I do not buy anything from these people as most of the stuff they are selling is poor quality. But you cannot assume they are Ex-offenders. That is just not right. DulwichFox

  17. Apparently there is a timer that plays the message after a set time after the bus stops at a bus stop. If the driver moves off before the set time, then the message will play after the bus has already moved off. The timer is to be changed. So to the other extreme, the message could play long before the bus finally moves off. Either way, I don't think we need to be told the bus is about to move off. After all are we to get a message every time the bus stops in traffic. ?
  18. It is VERY Important that you do not take too much Vitimin 'D' Stick too the recommended dose. Although its virtually impossible to get too much Vitimin 'D' from food and sunlight taking too much Vitimin 'D' supplement can result in serious health problems. I.E. Calcium build up and Kidney stones Speak to your G.P. or Pharmacist.

  22. January . with little Sun can cause a deficiency in Vitamin 'D' which may cause depression or January Blues as you put it. You could try a Vitamin 'D' supplement but should consult your G.P. if symptoms get worse. Your Pharmacist should be able to advise you. Try Lloyds on North Cross Road. They are very helpful there.

The Female lays about 40 eggs at any one time. Any Moths that fly off when breathed on will be males.
