oi oblivion... my definition of scruffy really IS scruffy - the silly "student" look wiv messy hair too. AND if you wanna question my judgement further then perhaps the bar staff should have asked these young chaps for some ID... the school summer hols were obviously a transitional time for some. Besides, EVERYONE knows only smarties have the answer ;) To get back on track... whats the food like? (other that nice and yummy, or "shit")

God I've seriously got this scene going round in my head... with the high pitched voices and everything! ::o

Surely the whole purpose of the bus is to bring everyone together on a common topic (much like this one)? One can have wonderful conversations with locals and visitors waiting for the bus, on the journey, and even when alighting. Long live the blessed route! :))

Maybe you should shake them up again Fuschia :) (I'm sure there's a few eyes following this thread).

If you are wanting to get in touch with the Southwark Concert Band it is best to go through me (you'll probably end up doing so anyway) and I can certainly point you in the right direction for contacting other groups of the South London Community Group which is the umbrella for several other local groups. Also, as Comus kindly pointed out the local schools are certainly a demanding lot for music. Don't forget to add Kingsdale and the Charter School to your list to check out though. If you get on the right side of the teachers/musicians at these they can set you on a positive path.

Steve... that forum drinking session weren't too bad... I could hear you all quite clearly from outside! when I popped in very briefly I happened to notice the clientele had suddenly gotten quite considerably younger and scruffy - is this their intended target group?
