  1. Planning Application to site of Iceland
  2. Spare glasses It's all well and good having them "just in case" but when you need them can you find them? !!!
  3. Changes are proposed... ETA: No not stirring up rumours. Have a read for yourselves :)
  4. "stating" what eh? *sighs*
  5. Heels on a hard floor... We know you're there already!!!

  7. Razors you don't need to read the thread if it doesn't interest you instead of stirring up trouble unnecessary. Pot and kettle eh? If there was a sudden explosion of threads similar to this in the many other languages of the world popped up I'm sure admin would step in if necessary. I'm also sure there are many threads in different sections of the forum you have no interest in too. If this particular thread really bothers you report it to Admin and have done with it.
  8. apparently there was a wonderful lightning display and lots of loud rumbling late last night... I say "apparently" as I was completely dead to the world in slumber. I'm deeply upset that I missed it :(
  9. oi hang on a moment im not questioning where u do or do not live or for how long i was simply enquiring your connection so there is no need for such comments which ARE rude, agressive and unnecessary.

  11. AND its raining! totally perfect :-))
  12. its no worse than living in any of the other streets off lordship lane, each place has its nuisances - trouble wiv parking, noise at kicking out time wiv any of the many drinking an late night establishments AND wiv traders either by shop or stall. if u want a quiet and rather boring life ED as a whole wouldnt b the place for u
  13. losing the lid of the toothaste
  14. register with a different email address and away you'll be :-)
  15. one could hope/wish/dream... ;-)
  16. "how are you" "whos this?" :))
  17. simple "hi" and "how are you" with no further hint of interest usually (if I can be bothered and usually a couple of days later) warrants* a rather lengthy response back... why waste the cost of a text on one word? ;-) ETA: *from myself not suggesting others do the same :)
  18. So... you went back to SainsBURY'S and mentioned this oddity yes? What happened then?
  19. Often on School Hols when the regular posties take time off the post is interesting in it's delivery. I'm still awaiting all my Valentine's cards!!! ;-)
  20. Cam I'm sure admin would prefer whingers to just bug ger off instead of writing nonsense on here but hey that's just my own opinion :))
  21. "interests/hobbies: reading, movies, horse riding, chewing gum" - Seriously how old are you? Only pop that in if it's relevant to the job spec where you are unable to demonstrate the skills through qualifications and work experience. As mentioned many times above keep it simple. If you must put lots of writing break it up with paragraphs! Dont ramble on about anything and everything. It's so tiring to those going through applications when you're looking at solid writing that's irrelevant. IME when hit with CVs/applications like that I stop reading and chuck it on the no pile (yes I know I could be rejecting the perfect candidate but if it bores me...!) If you've expressed a "keen eye for detail" bloomin' well check for mistakes and inconsistencies! Again, if I see obvious mistakes I lose interest. Photos are only useful for portfolios for those in acting. Seeing it on a general CV gives me the impression of someone who is vain, pretentious and probably someone I wouldn't really want to work with. Most employers receive, especially when using services such as the Guardian etc, hundreds of applications many not relevant to the job at all (I've come across butchers, scientists and the likes applying for simple reception positions!) so you need a good, simple and relevant CV/application that's going to avoid the no pile just because it's too "busy" and not set out in an easy to read manner.
