  3. AND its raining! totally perfect :-))
  4. its no worse than living in any of the other streets off lordship lane, each place has its nuisances - trouble wiv parking, noise at kicking out time wiv any of the many drinking an late night establishments AND wiv traders either by shop or stall. if u want a quiet and rather boring life ED as a whole wouldnt b the place for u
  5. losing the lid of the toothaste
  6. register with a different email address and away you'll be :-)
  7. one could hope/wish/dream... ;-)
  8. "how are you" "whos this?" :))
  9. simple "hi" and "how are you" with no further hint of interest usually (if I can be bothered and usually a couple of days later) warrants* a rather lengthy response back... why waste the cost of a text on one word? ;-) ETA: *from myself not suggesting others do the same :)
  10. So... you went back to SainsBURY'S and mentioned this oddity yes? What happened then?
  11. Often on School Hols when the regular posties take time off the post is interesting in it's delivery. I'm still awaiting all my Valentine's cards!!! ;-)
  12. Cam I'm sure admin would prefer whingers to just bug ger off instead of writing nonsense on here but hey that's just my own opinion :))
  13. "interests/hobbies: reading, movies, horse riding, chewing gum" - Seriously how old are you? Only pop that in if it's relevant to the job spec where you are unable to demonstrate the skills through qualifications and work experience. As mentioned many times above keep it simple. If you must put lots of writing break it up with paragraphs! Dont ramble on about anything and everything. It's so tiring to those going through applications when you're looking at solid writing that's irrelevant. IME when hit with CVs/applications like that I stop reading and chuck it on the no pile (yes I know I could be rejecting the perfect candidate but if it bores me...!) If you've expressed a "keen eye for detail" bloomin' well check for mistakes and inconsistencies! Again, if I see obvious mistakes I lose interest. Photos are only useful for portfolios for those in acting. Seeing it on a general CV gives me the impression of someone who is vain, pretentious and probably someone I wouldn't really want to work with. Most employers receive, especially when using services such as the Guardian etc, hundreds of applications many not relevant to the job at all (I've come across butchers, scientists and the likes applying for simple reception positions!) so you need a good, simple and relevant CV/application that's going to avoid the no pile just because it's too "busy" and not set out in an easy to read manner.
  14. wots the weather like in ED this morning? im due back from wilts later today... have i missed much?
  15. Ibilly90 that's like paying for someone elses mistake... would you do it?

Perhaps we should all learn to moderate > ourselves a little sometimes. Should that be the case you should report it instead of complaining about it in an open manner such as this. The use of capital letters in many online arenas is considered as shouting and therefore rude. *shrugs*
  18. BEFORE you change your password you should check your Sent box - if the offending item is in there delete it and THEN change your password. Dont just use letters (case sensitive) and numbers but also include some symbols. For example: Ka!/\mityKel12 A bit excessive I know but you get the idea :)

  20. Sparkling elderflower - tis not only refreshing but if you place your nose rather close to the glass (works best on a full glass) and inhale some bubbles (you know what I mean) before sipping it's almost like wine... kinda... so I hear... :)) No, seriously elderflower gets my vote that an a bitter st clements (for those sugar craving days) - have plenty of ice in it and you hardly notice the fizz. Failing that diet lemonade (yes diet - totally diff taste)... yes you may think it boring but after a while you'll be looking forward to it - again plenty of ice and live dangerously by having a slice of lime in it or maybe a slice of orange. ::o All good on the pockets/purse/wallet/buspass holder :)-D
  21. If you go with Tmobile or Orange they share each others networks so if you lose a tmobile signal you can pick up an orange signal (if available) where ever you are. I've not found it makes much difference for strength of signal though - I work underground and Vodafone wins out on mobile signal through our office. Whilst Vodafone are right ones for conning the customer with a lot of hidden charges (a friend of mine got whacked with a ?500 phone bill once after not having extra charges explained to her after upgrading to an Iphone) and are certainly not the cheapest, if you've been with them for a while give them a call saying you're thinking of leaving them for another network (do some research of other packages that would be better suited to you) and see if they can offer you a better deal than what you are already on. Make a fuss. You might be surprised what they suggest. :)
  22. Lozellen a minute is much longer than you think - you'd be surprised how much applauding, congratulating and all that can be done in that time.
