Bugger the cups* - I topped the weekly PL standings last trip out, for the first time, and demand my sash and biscuits. *Though doing okay in both (smug smiley)
  7. Everyone has their own pecking order regarding which teams to support in any fixture where your own team isn't involved (not even to the extent of maybe playing the winner of a particular cup-tie in the next round) - I do it so I care who wins - I don't watch footy just for a technical buzz. They're often historical (I will ALways fucking hate Leeds and deffo wot quids said re Chelsea) and can change (I would have backed Man C over Man U in the past but nowadays notsomuch). I do usually support any English cub in Europe - I yelled myself hoarse in a bar in Eastern Europe supporting Man U in 99 (but there were loud German businessmen everywhere so it may not have been motivated by a fondness for reds!)

  10. The Court cafe on Newington Causeway (opposite the courthouse of course) - a good mix of gravy lunches and the usual fry-ups, an entertaining mixture of builders, cabbies, lawyers and the accuseds (sic).

    Wedding speech

Do the old self-deprecation number- "I was so desperate for ideas that I asked for suggestions on a public forum... these were some of them..." -then read out whatever madness appears on here over the next few days. You can disown it all and join in the mockery/shock at the more outlandish. That'll use up enough time for you to finish with your strongest best-mate material and the one about the bridegroom and the radish.

The OCD has all kinds of stuff about decrees, pronouncements, laws and rules but nothing about 'sticks' - have you been using that dictionary with all the nice big colour pictures again? Oxford Concise Dictionary specifically has:- collection or list of sacred books etc., accepted as genuine: (list of) genuine recognized works of a particular author (the Shakespeare canon) I'd say you need a new dictionary outlook Huge. ETA: I think H has lost his AAA rating but lets put it down to a dodgy laksa and move on... ...laksa recipes anyone? ...H?
  22. Snowboarding idn't always cool - nuh-uh - 'slike an age thing. If you'd feel comfortable (and not like a ludicrous Dick) on a skateboard then you're probably safe, otherwise stick to the planks.
