  1. you can always tell when a thread starts hitting the 70/80 posts mark but is a bit slow - quids starts contributing in the hope that momentum grows just to score another "100" ;-)
  2. hiw is that different from a cinema tho Jeremy?
  3. Whilst I agree the church would be a poor substitute for a cinema, complaining about it generating traffic is a bit off considering the cinema would also generate traffic
  4. that post-move drink - nothing tastes better we packed about 70% of the stuff ourselves and they did the rest on the day of the move - arrived at 8:30am, packed, dissembled, loaded, droved, unloaded, assembled and done by 3pm that afternoon
  5. 4 days? How big is the house??? But let's assume VERY big - if it's a 4 day job then the move cost itself is likely to be far in excess of the average house move, so perhaps the ?20 a head is less relevant? That ?20 a head in my case was ?25 a head but they did a fantastic job and moved a 3 bed house from London to Sussex in half a day If it was over 4 days I probably would pay that sum per day? Or at least a tenner per day per person (thats' what I would do anyway - not telling you what to do)
  6. I think that was deliberate Louisa - it's her MO
  7. I quite LIKE the way Gove looks if I'm honest. Pickles and Widdecombe probably do suffer to a degree from their looks but I would say their utterances don't really help matters to a larger degree Gove I can disagree with without ever being dismissive of
  8. see also Miliband
  9. Surely, it being the only cinema around for miles is a large reason punters come through the doors? Was certainly the case when I used to go
  10. " I just feel so 'mumsy' and need to shake that look (and feeling) off somehow.." that's definitely a thing but mostly what cures it is time (paradoxically - you will after all be older when thsis time passes) - the kids get easier, you get more time, they GIVE you more back etc etc And it will be sooner than you think so hang in there You will be fine. And remember.. there will come a time when you will look back at you now and wish you looked as good as you do now. And that's true for all of us
  11. Strawbs We haven't met in a while (and I know you are after recommendations and may not appreciate a caution) but I recall a number of things: Haven't you suffered anaphylactic reactions to things in the past? Is botox wise if that's still the case? Living in a house with 2 kids of a similar age, I get the need for a lift of some kind but I don't know a single person who looks better post botox - it's an external product which isn't necessary I haven't met chunksmum but I have met other friends and rellies who say "look - I don't look frozen!" they do Lastly, it wasn't that long ago we last met and you looked just fab - you certainly don't need to go injecting toxins
  12. I get the whole rationale behind reshuffles, and I get the specifics around this one. But still, I think the dynamics at the top of the party have yet to be played out, and a couple of people will settle scores in years to come Whatever the perception of the cabinet, I share the opinion that the more intellegent/dynamic players have been targetted and that overall, the performance of the cabinet will take a hit 2 things to qualify that: 1 - doesn't mean I often liked/agreed with what some of those moved on did 2 - doesn't mean I'm against more women in the cabinet. I'm not weeping over the Mail/Telegraph "middle aged white men" angle
  13. Book now open on how long before teaching unions complain about gove replacement I'm no gove fan, but this reshuffle is a curious business.
  14. nearest ones are all about 3-4 miles away - Battersea, Greenwich, Borough, bermondsey http://www.fullers.co.uk/rte.asp?id=4 something about the proximity to the Horniman and the woods needs to be tapped into to make the place work I think - If the work those angles properly and target visitors they might be onto something The last 10 years have seen disinterested staff barely cleaning up and seving awful food, targetted at no-one in particular
  15. I would say Fullers overall are pretty decent for food - they seem to allow more leeway with tennats rather than imposing a blanket Brake Bros arrangement Good enough to divert people to a site like this? Wouldn't have thought so re: accomodation - If the Victoria in peckham can squeeze 8-10 rooms, I'm guessing a company could do 10-15 rooms easily above this place
  16. I'll take a great, entertaining World Cup over one with one or two "great teams" any day Spain were an awesome team at last World Cup. But the tournament was flat
  17. looks liek one of those "on paper" ideals to me - not convinced it's a winner in real life I think Barca won't gel next season
  18. Sah-weeeeet http://p1r.es/1ts27xF Good signing for arsenal
  19. I wonder if Louisa ever troubles this convo http://www.cpfc.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-235080.html Bromley - going to the dogs I tells ya
  20. who says it's the council and not the utility companies?
  21. not a moment of glory for him, was it?
  22. "Rowdy is not a word I would ever use to describe the dog. " Have you been in there Christmas Day? Sheeesh
  23. ha - just refreshed my facebook feed... ah I see
  24. even the pens didn't do it for me - I just shrugged and went to bed
