  1. I've never yet heard a non-West Ham fan who has any real understanding about the whole affair; they just spout West Ham fielded an illegible player WRONG....this case was without precedent and is a bit more complex than hearsay rubbish Blades and most other teams fans realise. Infact, I think if West Ham had gone down they'd have sued to get their ?5 million fine back. By the way, just to clarify Sheffield United went down 'cos they didn't get enough points over 38 games and that is afacto-fucking-mundo which they won't have...
  2. The other point about us giving up on our antiquated and increasingly inefficient (through a mixture of unworkable labour relations (eg crap management and communist unions) and impracticality - docks in relatively shallow river basins not being suitable for comntainer shipping...which cost 60,000+ dockers jobs in London btw chippy northeners; was that it allowed (and is allowing) 3rd world countries to develop as, say, coal is cheaper to get from open cast mines in Indonesia than 2 miles under the Pennines. This has led to a gradual sharing of global wealth...globalisation works. China and India, although still rife with poverty, have massively expanding economies and millions of people in burgeoning middle classes...ironoic for the lefties that it's market, global capitalism that's doing this not patronising hand outs or the 'central ownership of the means of production' that made China and India such basket cases 20 years ago. Tough for lefties liberal and the media to admit but even they are beginning to understand....(except the gormless Mark Steel obviously)
  3. Yup...we're not going to get a rational debate on this. Unprofitable, dangerous, inneeficient heavy industry should have been kept afloat by the very few british bits of the economy that were functioning properly in 1979, that'd made sense...we'd all be flipping burgers now instead of having the 4th biggest economy in the world. Sentiment over the facts from someone from Liverpool...surely not?
  4. Oh beautiful, beautiful Barnsley
  5. It's the MMC who inadvertently created this situation in the first place in 1989 by breaking the big Breweries power this led to the development of the pub cos and the demise of the main british brewing giants. They just created another giant and less choice....good old government intervention works its magic once more
  6. Fuck me it's like the Student Union in 1982 all over again on here.....quite pathetic
  7. Liberals wouldn't be seen dead in SE15......
  8. I was talking in general Asset - you paranoia?....but as it happens I'll do what I like not what someone on an internet forum tells me, why don't you zip it......so many little Hitlers on here who keep telling me to shut up because I don't seem to keep to some kind of liberal consensus...all a bit ironic really I actually voted labour in 1983 as i was a naive, student idiot, some of us grow up enough to see a bigger picture than, as Bob put it, spend our lives in The Young Ones. Celebrating someone's potential death...yup sounds great and liberal to me...
  9. Yup -predictable "thatch" comments, from well heeled SE22...can anyone imagine wot a toilet this place would ave been like if Labour had won in say 1983...go and look at their manifesto......
  10. "Chimchimminee, chimchiminee, chimmchimcheroo, we smashed your pub up at quarter to two"....ooohh I do like Spuds away

  13. If we cut their hands off they'd find it harder to use a phone
  14. The NHS is nearly at breaking point in London, - I, you, we, taxpayers pay significant amounts (seriously significant amounts)for this laughably 'free' service, most health professionals at all grades will honestly tell you that the whole system is overloaded with non-british born claimants...I await abuse, but that's the truth un PC as it may be
  15. er....I think the "pool" have the far nmore daunting prospect of the mighty Hammers at home this week...fisr victory at Anfield since 1963 methinks to give the Cockneyboys a glorious double
  16. Nope - just a crap Sky salesman failing to sell you sky - you could complain to them about their reps saying they are doing Council Surveys if you wanted
  17. I am a master in survey design who will willingly take on any in future for a small fortune to blow on the horses
  18. Shut the door on your way out, we won't miss you and your reactionary crap. What a revolting thread....
  19. Freehold on Bluewater type development in Wigan = ?3.59 10 year lease on shoebox in LL = ?750,000
  20. Bit of a joke survey....eg loaded questions about "parking problems", assumptions mainly negative, open ended questions all relate to assuming there is a problem, only asks once for an opposing opinion to a charge, weird question about changing your mind which assumes you have and no space for any other comments, I suspect its just because its done by amateurs rather than anything more sinister but seriously it's not a decent survey
  21. I'm not looking for cheap beer - I was doing some cross-referencing from another thread, but on a Sunday that was far too optimistic I guess
  22. Agreed Sean - That one in Bellenden's far better than any in LL. The world of curry has moved on but LL's version has not....
  23. ....the myriad curry houses on LL.....none of them are all that are they
