In fact I think it was around that time that I decided to see how quickly I could walk places instead of travelling by car/bus/train and I haven't looked back. Not only is it 1000% less stressful, but you learn more about the town and it's 100% reliable (People being late is a right old bug-bear for me!)

From your description I would possibly recommend Le Moulin - French name but plenty of good honest grub my Mum would love too - very unpretentious Possibly too far up LL? What type of food would she prefer?
