  3. Cats entering the UK illegally, stealing our jobs, claiming benefits, and refusing to integrate with society. It's disgusting.
  4. The teacher thing isn't rape of course, but nevertheless justifiably a criminal offence... he was in a position where pupils were under his responsibility/care.
  5. I'd be tempted to take a taxi the whole way - 7am should be fine. Driving can sound tempting, but airport car parks often involve a bus transfer which realistically adds 30 mins onto the journey.
  6. Yeah but Southbank and Barbican are pretty popular, aren't they?
  7. I liked The Office, but always preferred other characters (scenes with Martin Freeman and Mackenzie Crook were often painfully funny). Not enjoyed his latest show at all. And his stand-up is terrible.
  8. Pretty much what Loz and Dave said..
  9. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How can you call trendy Peckham unpopular? To be fair, you have to look pretty hard to find the trendy stuff...
  10. Rock music On Her Majesty's Secret Service
  11. steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The same could be said for pubs, which are closing by the minute. Depends. Pubs away from the high street are struggling, and I'm not convinced this location could ever really be viable again (unless it was really something special). But in better locations, it's a different story... two new pubs currently under development on Rye Lane...
  12. It's not quite as simple as that though... changing trends, more young families staying in London rather than moving out.
  13. It's doable a little bit earlier... I always manage to get on the 7:34(ish) from Peckham Rye. Was 10 mins late this morning though..

  15. Yeah I think it's pretty much common sense to say that you'll probably be safer if you don't drink yourself paralytic. For both men and women..
  16. You see a lot of them around London though.
  17. Agreed LB, and I applaud your plans to educate your children in such issues.
  18. Defender (or even Discovery) acceptable if you actually need a 4x4 (e.g. you live in a field). Never a RR.
  19. Pibe... no audio at work... but the video alone is pretty cringeworthy. I would actually nominate Range Rovers - particularly pimped-out ones sporting after market body kits and badges such as "Overfinch". Just horrible, horrible things for people devoid of taste.

I wasn't talking about a personal experience at all, it's a hypothetical scenario. There's obviously a line somewhere between a man abusing a woman, and two people making a stupid mistake... just wondering where the likes of LB felt that line was. I don't think it's a red herring at all...
  21. numbers, I think you'll find you are incorrect about bacon burgers and Alan Partridge.
  22. Is it still rape if the woman definitely says yes (or even initiates sex), but the next morning can't remember exactly what happened and regrets the whole thing? I'd say no..
  23. I think you're wrong there, Louisa. New Addington makes Bromley look like Knightsbridge. You'd be hard pushed to find a house there going for over 300K.
  24. Some sort of grain... you could use it in place of couscous I guess. Doesn't taste of anything much. It is supposed to be good for you, high in protein or something.
