  1. Amazon sell cheap SanDisk MP3 players with micro SD slot... I'd probably look at something long those lines. Sorry - just realised this has already been suggested!
  2. Help-Ma-Boab Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not so sure Murray won't reach a Slam final. Looking good at the mo... Would be happy to be proved wrong. I quite like the grumpy sod.
  3. Avoid Android. I've just about had enough of flaky Android devices and dodgy OS upgrades. I really would go for a simple, dedicated audio player if at all possible.
  4. 22 homes, 44 spaces... sounds like a lot. But better too many than too few.
  5. I doubt there's much demand for large amounts of office space in what is essentially suburban south London. Small offices for up to ten people, maybe. There are already other schools under development nearby... Lordship Lane, East Dulwich Grove, Bellenden Road, and probably Dewar Street. Realistically I'm not sure what else people were expecting to be built on this site.
  6. Surely one hour would be a ridiculously long test drive! But maybe best to go for a test drive outside of London, where you've got a chance of actually driving it properly - ideally on an A road where you can get up to 60 or 70 mph
  7. It is called "Asian Takeaway". Google for peckham rye asian takeaway and you'll find it. They make the naan fresh, individually to order on the spot. There is a juice bar/stand/shack next door, who do some rather interesting concoctions.
  8. It was certainly one of them.
  9. I have no problem with a shish at K&W, or anywhere else locally. But doner... yuck..
  10. Somebody would complain, whatever was built there. At the end of the day, it would seem we have a housing shortage...
  11. I often think Louisa must live in a different East Dulwich to the one we all know. Don't park outside someone else's house... seriously?
  12. The state of the train service at the moment, they may as well just pull the whole bloody thing down - and supply season ticket holders with a pair of sturdy boots.
  13. Think they're going to build flats there. There was a thread about it a while ago... usual complaints about parking spaces, etc.
  14. Righto... glad to be proved wrong about "evicting a business", but nevertheless seems a shame to pull down a useable building and replace it with nothing. Hopefully another tenant will step in... we keep hearing about these huge commercial rents in ED, so maybe it won't be that long.
  15. Maybe you're right, I just assumed.
  16. Suspect the 2l Touran will have a bit more grunt too (the idea of a 1.6 diesel Citroen going "like a rocket" did raise a smile..)
  17. I agree, it's too close to Sainsburys. Seems terrible to pull down a usable building (evicting a business in the process), then just walking away... shouldn't be allowed.
  18. Hmmm... would like to give it a go, but not convinced the missus would sit through all that foreign-ness.
  19. Can't really watch the video right now. But from reading the list, it wouldn't put me off. Basically, we all know it's junk food. You shouldn't eat it too often, but once in a while isn't going to hurt you. And if you DO eat this stuff on a regular basis... you probably already have bigger problems to worry about (salt, cholesterol, obesity, etc) than a handful of additives.
  20. Anything in there which particularly bothers you Fox, or just the sheer number of ingredients? Bear in mind that some items are duplicated there... and I don't see anything wrong with using a blend of oils to fry in. Not saying it's good food... but it is what it is.
  21. I've tried it before and it's way harder than it looks... the result was incredibly messy looking. It did fix the problem though (small damp patch), and it was only a small area. So maybe just go for it (in the Spring) and see how you get on?
  22. Still, at least we have the good old London Bridge service to fall back on...

It's about risk... in your/MrB totes hypothetical scenario, the mortgage lender have almost no risk. You, on the other hand, would be taking on significant risk by gambling your property on whatever "sure-fire" fund/asset you'd ploughed all the borrowed cash into. Rather you than me...
  24. Phas?
