    Breaking Bad

Tuco is awesome... totally underused in Breaking Bad. Hopefully he'll pop up a few times more in BCS. I reckon there's potential (maybe in the next series) to bring back Jesse and his buddies in one or two episodes. If you remember when we first met Saul in BB, Jesse implied that he was familiar with Saul and his... methods.
  2. The good stuff doesn't have to be expensive... Late Knights/Beer Rebellion is not expensive, Stormbird in Camberwell has reasonable prices, as does The Ivy House. I can see why the imported American beers could work out expensive, but surely regular strength domestic beers shouldn't really be over ?5 a pint.
  3. CM - probably because Foxtons like to project a corporate/high-end image. Even when in fact they're playing the same game as everyone else, staffed by the same breed of clueless gelled-hair dipshits.
  4. Never paid that much, but I think I was charged around ?7 for a pint of normal strength pale ale type stuff at The Rake. And a similar amount for a limited edition Sierra Nevada beer at the Flying Pig. Always happy to pay a little bit extra for a nice craft beer or belgian beer, but once you get to ?6ish, I start to wonder whether I'd still be enjoying myself just as much with a pint of something cheaper in my hand.
  5. Yeah but such foresight doesn't really seem typical of Foxtons.
  6. My thoughts were similar... unusual for Foxtons to open up somewhere which is essentially ungentrified (or at best is in the embryonic stages of gentrification)
  7. Well people build a third storey over the rear addition all the time, as part of a loft conversion. So common sense should dictate that building a second storey over the rear addition is OK. But common sense does not always prevail....

    100s

Totally forgot that I'd scored a 10000. Thanks for resurrecting...
  9. Vibrant and Edgy Rye Lane is really coming into its own.
  10. Strange move. Can't say this is the way I envisaged Rye Lane going. Where are they going to park all their silly cars?

One rung up. That's it.
  12. 100 I win.
  13. Leftfooter... while I don't like people going through our bins, I have to say that it does seem like the "odd one out" on your list of criminal activity. ED is a good place to live - as is much of Forest Hill, Peckham, Camberwell. But crime does happen... its a big city. You're right about the transport though. Transport in ED is garbage.
  14. If these kids are at the same school as MK's kids, then I doubt the parents need contributions to buy kindles for their kids. Although I'm not quite sure why anyone takes any notices of a b-list, famous-for-being-famous sleb anyway.

I know that deaths resulting from cyclists hitting pedestrians are very rare. I don't think cyclists are a menace! (well... not many of them, anyway). It just seems obvious that cyclists should use bells and exercise caution when they are sharing space with pedestrians. I don't understand why you are debating this. Anyway, can't be bothered to argue further, it's pretty trivial and not particularly interesting.

  17. Police escort for Chris Wormald visiting a primary school!! Haha, brilliant.
  18. Very sorry to hear this. There is somebody giving away a free buggy in the family room classifieds, if you need an immediate replacement...
  19. Overground is not perfect... but it is better. And the style of train (seats along outside, lots of standing room and things to hold onto) should be the norm for all London commuter trains where journey time is not expected to be much over 30 mins.
  20. We're not talking about dog attacks though... I'd rather collide with an enthusiastic mutt chasing a ball than an adult on a bike...

  22. Shit... I post way too much...
  23. It's offensive coming from someone you don't know.
  24. To be fair... "numpty" isn't exactly the worst thing you can get called. I get called worse on a regular basis. probably with some justification.
  25. We all know that with the reduced capacity at London Bridge, the schedule is just too tight, and at the first sign of trouble everything falls into disarray. Really not sure there's much they can do in the short term - no matter how many strongly worded mails they receive. Perhaps the problem with the lack of information is something they could improve with sufficient incentive?
