Bad choice of words, and dealt with clumsily. But he is right, in that some cases are not necessarily black and white, and not all cases warrant equal sentencing. I feel very sorry for him.

Lack of dividends is not necessarily a bad thing (take a look at Apple). But ultimately, if you are a shareholder and you're unhappy about not receiving a dividend, sell your shares and invest in something else. You've not actually lost anything. -

thomastillingthe3rd, you are slightly confused. ?158 million was for the first half of the 2010/2011 tax year. I don't believe that their full 2010/2011 profits have been announced yet. Last year (2009/2010) they made a loss. -

And while we're on the subject, has anybody had a loft conversion done on a flat recently? We were told that there is no PD for flats, so it's only possible to build a small dormer at the back. But a flat on my road is in the process of having a full-width dormer built. So I'm a bit puzzled (and rather pissed off).

That Blue song was seriously one of the worst things I've ever heard. Just awful. Biffy Clyro featuring Pippa Middleton sounds like a step in the right direction. Or maybe The Wedding Present featuring Mr Motivator, with "Diversity" dancing in the background.
