  1. Farrow & Ball paint is so over-priced. Flock wallpaper is just daft. Sod the distressed oak, let's put a nice bit of lino down. Those sash windows are so inpractical, why don't we get some pvc double-glazed ones?

Why on earth should you be entitled to stay in a council house, just because you've lived there for n years? It doesn't belong to you. It's a public facility, for the benefit of those who need it. If your circumstances have changed... e.g. earning more money, or people have moved out... your position is unjustifiable.

  4. Heavyweight Boxing needs Haye/Klitschko. Let's hope there are no more incidents or mysterious injuries! On the strength of the Samual Peter fight, I think it's reasonable to assume that it would end very badly for Fury...

Obviously golliwogs are offensive to any intelligent person, but you are a liar and a troll.
  6. What do you want to buy there, which can't already been bought in one of the two Sainsburys (or other shops)?
  7. Deliveries different to the restaurant food... it's a common phenomenon. Personally I suspect that some of these places use a totally different kitchen (maybe even someone's home kitchen) for the deliveries.

  9. Yep... I know it's obvious (to most of us), but FPTP discourages people from voting for anybody except the big two, because they feel the vote is wasted. At least AV might give people the confidence to go for their true choice, with the option to put labour/tory second.
  10. Most of these places are inconsistent - that's the problem. I've been to Ganapati twice, the first time was really good, but the second time we were both served tough meat in bland sauces. Similarly, the food was delicious on our first trip to Omrith, but the next time it was laughably bad and the place was filthy. Tandoori Nights is generally good, but we've had one or two bad dishes there too.
  11. I used to go to Harlow quite a bit in my teenage years. It isn't very nice.
  12. Fair enough. I wonder who it is?
  13. I don't think it makes any difference which agent you use, as long as it gets on the major property search websites (which plenty of photos and a floorplan). Maybe it's priced too high?

  16. Guys, you have to practise what you preach. Who here is not guilty of occasionally being rude, polarised, unforgiving, condescending, or abusive?

Yep. I really can't figure out why a floodlit sports pitch - up to 6:30pm - is causing so much fuss. Surely getting kids involved with constructive activities is rather more important than a handful of over-sensitive neighbours.

  19. It would seem that Helenius defeated Samuel Peter without too much trouble... moving up the rankings nicely in the process. Meanwhile, Amir Khan has failed to get a TV deal for the McCloskey fight. I guess Sky didn't want to do a PPV, as on paper it's a mismatch, and they didn't want another Haye/Audley fiasco.
  20. Someone actually checking the facts before complaining? Whatever next!
  21. I think it's best to look at where you want to live and what you can afford. I don't think it's wise to base your decision on what you think might happen in the property market.

  23. Surely Damian's absurd claims of discrimination warrant no further discussion.
  24. Bath. New Forest.
  25. Damian, you've got to be joking... this is in no way discrimantion or prejdice. Either you are bonkers, or you are winding us up.
