  1. I wear mine all the time! Sans logo, of course. I would echo nashoi's advice, and definitely avoid the low-slung jeans.
  2. That's so cowardly. 3 kids beating up one elderly man (who probably wouldn't have much cash anyway). Sickening.
  3. How can they move a car (with no keys) without damaging it?
  4. bobbly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Lets hope this puts things to rest. You must be joking. This one pops up every few weeks, thanks to a minority of over-sensitive individuals.
  5. I would rather eat my own ears.
  6. Laddy Muck, Brendan, and Huguenot (most of the time) are not the irritating ones! If only the limitation could be selectively imposed...
  7. Can we stop people posting two posts in a row... I'm a bit fed up with reading threads with 2/3/4 posts in a row by the same person. It's usually the people who have the least intelligent contributions, or who rant/argue unnecessarily.
  8. I was going to do a lmgtfy link... but I'll be nice, and just say that it's in Gipsy Hill.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Of all the people walking around East Dulwich last night, this surely narrows it down to under 5%. So not exactly useless. Somebody else must have seen him. I really think it's time people stopped being so sensitive about this kind of thing, "black" is not a forbidden word.

But nobody is pretending it's high-brow.
  11. "The wife" bought a book, and a cd-rom with practise hazard perception tests on it. Seemed pretty foolproof.
  12. Yep, I was surprised the Irish fella argued his way out of it. Although I think it says more about the weak, gullible team leader... "yes, sorry Jim... you're absolutely right... you did an outstanding job... I'll pick someone else".
  13. There are only 5 or 6 bike lockers, so it's hardly going to be a hive of activity. Just because you haven't seen them being used, it doesn't mean they aren't. I wouldn't expect to see Boris Bikes as far out as ED any time soon. There is no precedent of installations in other suburban zone 2/3 areas. If you look at the map of docking stations, it would stick out like a sore thumb. And the logistics of repleneshing an isolated station several km outside of central London would rule it out immediately.
  14. Or maybe buying a second hand car... http://www.software4students.co.uk/images/blogs/swiss_toni-sm.jpg
  15. Some good suggestions MsB, but Hertford and St Albans are quite expensive, you won't get a decent 3 bed house for 300K. The Hitchin/Letchworth/Stevenage area could be a good start. Good luck Livvy...
  16. I'm amazed that anybody actually agrees with NdP's frankly ridiculous post.
  17. Of course it's an eyesore, but being in such a high profile location, it reminds the world that not all of the British public agree with our dubious foreign policy. So I'm in favour.
  18. Lookyours - you're not a real person, are you?
  19. We chose the Audi because it shows people that we have money, while being less ostentatious than a BMW. Peroni tastes just like any other generic euro-lager, I resent paying ?4+ for a pint of it. I miss The Foresters - ?3.50 for nuggets & chips, and a pint. And you could have a game of pool.
  20. Probably a mod... but with crap clothes.
  21. You'll get the most for your money if you head out to Essex. And you'll get a good size house for your 300K if you're willing to live somewhere without a station. e.g. Great Dunmow has a pleasant village centre and is very affordable... but you'll be totally reliant on your car.

Singapore is something like 20 times more densely populated than England. 24. The area is as safe as anywhere in London. i.e. safe-ish, but you need to be alert. Note that the trains don't start until something like 6:15am. I wouldn't say the buses aren't safe during the night. Although they can get crowded (travelling south), and you have to expect the occasional drunk lout, or antisocial kids. Just the usual stuff, really.
