I assume you arrived at your result by converting the Kiloton "TNT equivalent" to Joules. Sounds about right... according to Wikipedia, a max of 0.03% of the mass of the bomb is converted into "useful" energy. And those early bombs were presumably less efficient than modern ones.
  2. Perhaps the railway line provides the theives with a discrete and dark means of entrance/escape - as inconvenient as it sounds.

    Filth

Maybe... I've eaten battered sausages while sober (although not recently). This just has that extra layer of goodness sandwiched between the succulent sausage and the delicious cripsy batter.

    Filth

    I would probably eat it.
  5. Aimee, is your house terraced as well? I've always assumed that the rear of terraces are fairly secure, as you'd have to go through somebody else's property and climb over walls.
  6. Did you go into Liam Og's / Banana Bar? And how about The Temple Bar? I would insist on venturing into D'Eclipse. It looks enticingly exotic. The Corrib looks very wierd... the menu outside seems to advertise all kinds of revolting meals for ?1.99.

SN1 > (spare no-one) Fair enough. I guess the word "succesful" is fairly subjective.

  9. OK, so who's in for a Elephant to Camberwell pub crawl?
  10. Useful info, HMB!
  11. What Jack said.
  12. I'd certainly be up for screenings of decent films at The Montpelier. Don't invite *Bob* though, he has a worrying penchant for Turner and Hooch.

  14. Well Haye vs Valuev was on at a sensible time, but I guess there's a lot more interest in this one across the pond.
  15. Do you reckon Haye/Klitschko will be on at the CPT?
  16. Who thought Groves would/could beat Degale? As domestic-level fights go, that was a cracker. Congrats to Hopkins - incredible acheivement to win the title at the age of 46. He's not the most exciting fighter around, but he's certainly crafty and very effective. Pascal was very gracious in defeat.

Littlehampton is, erm... not very nice either!

I've always seen Camberwell/Walworth road purely as a route to central London. And even then I try to close my eyes for most of the journey (unless I'm driving).

    Hastings

Isn't Hastings a bit of a crap hole?
  24. Unfortunately I have little confidence in the police donig anything, no matter how overwhelming the evidence may. They only seem interested if the crime is actually currently taking place.
  25. There are more than enough pubs/bars around LL for a pub crawl. The Peckham side... i.e. Hoopers, Gowlett, Victoria, Montpelier, Rye, Herne, etc etc could be a lengthy pub crawl in itself. Hell, you could probably do a decent pub crawl in Camberwell these days (just about).
