  1. Yeah if you've removed the chimney then at least you have 3 walls (if you still have separate reception rooms) or 2 walls (if you've opened up your lounge and dining rooms).

  3. The cheap Sainsburys/Tesco honey is one-pound-something and is not diluted with syrup (as far as I know).

  5. The "paying" is a key point. IMO that line isn't as wide as you make out.
  6. Going back 10 yrs or so... "Boost guarana" with a green wrapper. That was good. Can't say I felt any buzz from it, but it tasted a little different to the regular one.
  7. Where do you even put a TV larger than 40" in a typical vic. terraced house? Anything bigger probably won't fit in the alcove. I don't want a TV over the fireplace, or hogging the window bay.
  8. Yeah big TV and sitting too close could do it. I think in these small Victorian houses where you're never more than 3m from the TV, 40" is plenty big enough. Some TVs have settings which distort the picture, upscale/interpolate, or are supposed to "smooth" out the motion. Basically you need to turn all this crap off.
  9. Say - "yes you can come in and look at my boiler, as long as I can take a photograph of you, and take your phone number and car registration".
  10. Surely if you're paying for a video you are funding abuse. You have to take a share of blame for the next victim. If this makes me a home counties pitchfork Daily Mailesque type then so be it. Well yes I guess he has found a sort of peace seeing as he's, you know, dead. Shame he took the easy way out instead of facing his punishment.
  11. stringvest is right. Bobby came back from the dead, his wife Pam (from the rival Barnes family) found him in the shower when she woke up from a series-long dream.
  12. I'd expect 3 hours of work for that amount. Spending 3 hrs in a 4 bed house, should be able to hoover and dust every room, clean the bathroom(s), and maybe deep clean one thing a week (e.g. oven, fridge, etc).
  13. Hmm... General Store on Bellenden Rd always have some interesting looking tomatoes in. Assorted varieties. They could probably advise which ones are the most "really tasty". Not a cheap shop though.
  14. - Texan back from the dead - He was the Romeo to his wife's Juliet. Their families were bitter rivals.

  16. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > the likes of whispa, twirl or boost Boost? Think you are confused, Otta! Boost is a delicious chewy lump of caramel, biscuit, and chocolate.
  17. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wispa, Frys chocolate cream, Frys Turkish Delight and Picnic all in my top 4. Is Wispa not just Dairy Milk with holes in it? I thought you hated Dairy Milk?!
  18. I think that's a pretty good summary of the agents, but at the end of the day, I don't think it makes an awful lots of difference if it's on at the right price. People will still see it online and book a viewing, regardless of who it's on with. The problem with trying to sell a flat for 600K or so is that for similar money you can buy a small house.
  19. Yes, much clearer! Thanks.

Sorry, don't quite understand this sentence! Could you perhaps rephrase?
  21. JoHoops Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > On a slightly related note, does anyone know if > there is a baking group in ED? Just like minded > people who share recipes/advice etc? There's a group called "band of bakers", which is kind of a baking club, meeting in various venues around the area. Not sure how active they currently are though.. https://bandofbakers.wordpress.com/
  22. The insurance ads was a bit of a giveaway. Another easy one Texan back from the dead

Slightly unfair, as there have been constructive suggestions (home bread baking circle, bulk buying co-op) at the same time.

Nope, it's a couple of doors down from there (towards the rye) The one with black paint next to Blue Tit is going to be some sort of sh!sha lounge (yes, sh!sha really is a banned word on here..)
  25. 20mph is a ridiculous limit for a wide road like Sydenham Hill - not only unnecessarily low, but will inevitably result in overtaking (and therefore excessive speeding). I fully intend to continue to drive 30ish along it and slow down for any cameras. Thanks for the update.
