  1. There's been an accident call the police.
  2. Parkdrive: "Sorry I can't have a parent being allowed to have custody of a child after launching into to a rant especially when this person is obviously drunk, medicated or both". And what would you like to do with the 10's of thousands of children you've just removed from their ("drunk, medicated or both") parents ?
  3. If children got taken into care for behaviour like that exhibited by parents up and down the country, we'd have hugely over-populated children's homes.
  4. Yeah I reckon, though of the three, if Derek can be better conditioned and has worked on his stamina he could (just conceivably) upset Helenius. He was pretty close to having Fury out of there, but gassed it when it counted. I hear Beibut Shumenov is saying in the media that he's heard everyone say they want to fight him and he'll take anybody on, especially Nathan Cleverly, but as yet he's received no 'official' offers. So basically there's nothing doing ! Shumenov v Cleverly is one I've fancied seeing for some time.
  5. It's not a done deal yet and Haye has limited bargaining power, but, of the options Vitali has, Haye somehow is still the most attractive in terms of generating interest. This would probably be less so if the last fight haye lost wasn't against Vitali's brother. This weekend there is far more interesting action, involving 3x Brits who're all underdogs. John Murray, Dereck Chisora, Martin Murray are all fighting and I think it's covered on BoxNation for a ?10er. Pain in the ass if you're with Virgin as it's unclear whether you'll be able to access it yet. Dereck Chisora fights for the vacant European heavyweight crown against Robert Helenius. I think RH gets this, he's faced better opposition the DC. John Murray fights for the WBA lightweight crown against Brandon Rios in New York. Mitchell showed that Murray can be defeated, Murray is hard as nails but that's not enough at top-contender level. Martin Murray fights for Felix Sturm?s WBA middleweight crown in Germany. Sturm may close this fight in the mid rounds, his short fast hands will be difficult to avoid. On another note did anyone see the Kermit Cintron v Canelo Alvarez contest ? That Alvarez is one gifted kid. Very heavy hands. Cintron is too light a fighter before the weight and paid for it.
  6. They'll need a conclusion like that to avoid having to release him in 20 years, which I think would be his right in Norway if not 'insane'.
  7. A Sign Of The AGes - Gil Scott Heron
  8. I used to work in East Croydon and for a year commuted out to EC then back up to ED during early/late office hours with a selection of trains right through the day ! I can't conceive of why this service would have been stopped.
  9. ?1.8m split between the partners and shareholders etc. is probably not a huge amount. I have to wonder whether the same thread would have been started if it was "Dr. Gordon"
  10. Well if one is public sector it's not a problem for one anyway. That'll be the problem for the private sector.
  11. Posted by: Huguenot Today, 12:13PM Just get a monitor with an hdmi input ------------------------------------------- I'll look into that, especially if it's same quality screen.
  12. TV. Probably 5% may be interesting, the rest just seems to be designed so people can switch off their lives every evening and live through other's (mainly) pointless 'experiences' via dire reality programming. God knows why you can't by a TV that has no reciever, just can be plugged into DVD/digital players for films etc which you own already. Maybe it does exist, if so let me know, would help avoid paying for tv licence.

Fair point Jeremy but they are unsustainable as you say, so at the very least a compromise is required on the part of the employee. It's not reasonable for public sector employees to recognise the financial crisis and that times have changed for the worse, but at the same time insist on privileges that cannot be realistically generated. This is not a decision made by the employer out of malice, the world has changed and it's illogical as you say to pretend you can be insulated from it. It's unreasonable and takes the p!ss out of those of us busting our balls to survive !

I never understood this perception of someone having the 'right' to a pension. Bizarre fantasy stuff. The rest of the world's in financial ruin but God forbid public sector 'rights' being affected. Must be cosy to believe all will be taken care of for you.
  15. "Khan's International department Store" on Rye Lane in Peckham (cheaper than Sainsbury) - Indian sub-continent, some middle eastern and african cooking ingredients, cheap fruit/veg, plasticware, cheap kitchen utensils and loads of other stuff. And it's not a 'department store' in the conventional sense, it sells loads of different 'stuff', all on one floor. Wing Tai Chinese supermarket at Camberwell (opposite McDonalds) or Peckham (near Morrisons). For Thai / Chinese / Indo-Chinese ingredients. The posts above tell you where to get ordinary groceries closer to home, but here's where you can go to get your foreign gear.
  16. Had some classic extremely late nights at Farouks, a heavy night out in town at a club or something then back to ED at a stupid hour to find Farouks is STILL open, so in we'd go for poppadums and chutney (to give impression of food) and lashings of lager...

    Virgin

Virgin cable fine down here by CPT. Monica -I don't think Virgin will refund any charges you incur routing your internet traffic through your mobile, best you'll get is a reduction in your pro-rata rate from the day you call to register the problem with them (not the day you notice it).
  18. Well I responded to an EDF posting from same (what turned out to be a) femmie-bot about some DVDs. I stupidly (in retrospect) did what the post asked and replied by email, only to get stalker-speak.. " This DVDs are for my Prince if you are him then you are welcome to come, I am sorry but before you come, I will need to asked a few questions just to make sure you are mine. :-( " So I said "...such as ??!" (stupidly, again). And got... " Could you please tell me were do I live, were I am from, and if I have children. Thank you. If you answer this questions correct then you are the guy who I saw in the crystal ball. and if that is the case I will say yes darling please comeback to me. I you don't know the answer, please ignore this message." Nothing to see here" Am sorry and good luck in finding your matching man with free DVDs. " Errr, no I just wanted to grab a couple of DVDs, but it's all too complicated. I did not respond and have now got: " So Baby is you I knew it. Are you upset! I am sorry.I hope not if not we will be wasting our time. I have so much to tell you and I am so Happy, so Happy writting this message and at the same time I am crying whiles am writting. If you have seing me in the peckham police station is becasue the thiefs broke into my car, two weeks ago, the CD player went missing and the clamp from southwark council which was in my car. The Crime reference Number is: 3034788/11 . I don't have to hide anything from you I promise. I love to bits does why I have the number of your car but that was in February I've lost it and I found it today when I was looking for my old books. I never have bad intensions towards you YOU know me babe. Apart from that I am fine thinking of moving out in January if I find a live in position with 2 days off during the week. Hope you are aspecting to hear this and not finishing with me. I will regreat it but I will find you even if we reach our 100s do you remember that I promise you that a while ago. I am sending this message to tell you how much I love you and I don't care what you do with all my private messages and if the whole world finds out. All this I mean it just for you, if you never want to see me again. You will be in my heart for ever. Thank you Darling for everything. LadyKMack " Frigging weirdos who set this shit up.

"I'm just a lonely schitzophrenic....but at least I have each other"
  20. Very Hard 5 letter word thingy: PENIS ?
  21. I can only think they put 'marriage' in quotes because it's later qualified as a 'civil partnership' (note MY quotes). If they'd used the CP term from the start there'd have been no need to qualify it later. Personally I use marriage for both, I don't really see a distinction but that's cos I look at it from a relationship/commitment perspective, whereas there is probably a legal difference.
  22. Bins emptied now. 'bout time.
  23. If it IS people trying to ensure cars don't park where THEY want to park THEIR cars, the conclusion could be that the perpetrators are very near. Shocking behaviour, because it implies that someone would rather damage your property than walk a few yards to their car. If it's the SAME area being victimised, perhaps someone could put up a cam looking down at the area and encourage everyone to park there in the hope of capturing the baddie on film. It may mean sacrificing more tyres though..
  24. Well I couldn't have had a collection 2 weeks ago then, no way I filled that blue bin in a week !!
  25. Derek Chisora is to fight Robert Helenius on Dec 3rd. I've been banging-on about Helenius for a while on here. Chisora has skills to trouble RH but if he comes in overweight like he did for Fury (heaven knows why he did that - ridiculous approach to boxing) it'll be a painful night for him. RH has fought far better opposition than Derek and is better conditioned (though still not very conditioned), I see this being a 6 TKO to the Finland man. Tyson Fury didn't look great at the weekend did he ? He got dropped and looked defenceless against huge, predictable, swinging haymakers. Ok he got the win a round after being knocked over, which shows some grit, but against the world contenders I'd say right now he's going to be in trouble. He should refrain from calling-out the Klitschkos if he's serious, they'd have him for breakfast all day long. I suggest he sticks to European and Commonwealth or American top 20-30 boxers and settles his skills down. His fast left jab/crushing overhand right combo will only take him so far. I hear Breidis Prescott got a hiding from Alvarado, but only after being the one giving out the pain initially, only to tire against a man who doesn't recognise that you're meant to lose when battered.
