  1. What's that toddler doing in there? I'm surprised the tabloids have let them get away with it.
  2. The Castle, Crystal Palace Road.

And you'll never like them? I think then you're not keen on the rock, generally. As for Take That, what of Back For Good? I reckon anyone who doesn't reckon that as a fantastic song, is somneone that I wouldn't be able to cuddle up to. And I'd not do that with a Kook.
  7. Oasis are simply rock. They have one of the all time great front men in Liam, can sing when he wants to and drops into being a vocalist when necessary. He can hold an audience by standing still, with his hands behind his back, and is one of only a few people who can look good wearing shades indoors. His older brother writes fine songs, and though they reference the Beatles, I think that 70's glam rock is more his bag. But that's just me.
  8. Mind you, Queen. And I saw them as a support group in 1972. Enjoyed them well enough, but really, given far more credibility than they really deserve.
  9. Anyone who does not rate Oasis, is a schmuck. Did Jeremy suggest that a lack of appreciation of The Clash, suggested that the suggestee was an an utter c*nt? If he didn't then take it from me, they are a knownothing c*ntbollox. And that's the truth. If you suggest The Beatles are overated, you're a fool. A foolish lunatic with a hatred for pop music. The next you'll be telling me that you don't like Bob Dylan. Honestly, you will.
  10. Welome To The Club - Ian Hunter
  11. Fine advice there Matthew123, I haven't been on a job interview for years, but if and when I do, that'll be my template. Though, doesn't going for the big comfy chair, mark you out as a bit of a 'go-getter' and the sort of person who's able to 'think outside of his box' and at the same time has 'balls'? I merely ask.
  12. You might be right there, KellyGirl. I hope you are , anyway welcome to the EDF. I think you'll get on great. Something to do this weekend that doesn't involve the boose? I'm afraid you've got me scratching me oul head on dat one.

Thanks a lot for the offer of Bikini Red, but I've bought it on vinyl, with nothing to play it on yet, but will do it so at some point. In the mean time this will be a happy home...
  15. The big day's here at last. My heart is overflowing with joy and goodwill.
  16. So the 'big' day's here at last. Bugger.
  17. Nice, SM I'll keep that in mind. Cheers.
  18. bob Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Any one get post to day, we didn't. > Bob S Yes, a Rev Horton Heat CD and a bank statement if you're interessted. I also received through the parcel post a Screaming Blue Messiahs vinyl record, though I missed the postie as I was in the lavatory. I went round to the sorting office and collected it as they very obligingly stayed open until 3.00 pm. Well done I say to them. Never encountered a Gipsy the whole day, sorry to go back on topic. As you were.
  19. Five grand? Just like that, on the hip. Sweet as, Turky, sweet as.
  20. 'Have a Superfunk Christmas and a Golden New Year' Marc Bolan said that, and he knew a thing or two.

My first admission is the mustard ostritch skin chisel-toed beauties.
  23. A pint of Stella is on average ?3.30 in ED. I like that. I find it reassuringly expensive.
  24. Which David Bowie song did Rod Stewart appear on? Diamond Dogs. The 'live' audience at the beginning is lifted from the Faces live album, and if you listen carefully you can hear Rod yell 'Oi'.
  25. It's not just coppers, i went pat Buckingham Palace the other day and one of the life guards looked about twelve, little moon-faced fellow. Looked like he'd been in the dressing-up box. Brought on a paroxysm of tutting and head-shaking from your humble correspondent.
