  3. daizie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > No good to us that are banned from commenting Hello Daizie I've had my ED Issues & Gossip privileges cut off a couple of times, mainly for being a wild-eyed no good kid from the wrong side of the tracks. "What are you rebelling against"? they asked "Whatcha got" I growled out of the corner of my mouth. Anyway usually a ban is time-limited, I think if you contact Admin they'd consider reinstating you. Unless you've been particularly egregious.
  4. I reckon it's whatever you want SM, so you can go right ahead with CC. On the basis of a 'voice' I'll be going with Ian Hunter, predictably enough, with honourable mentions to Bob Dylan, Billy Bragg, Lee Brilleaux, Joe Strummer and Shane MacGowan. On the tecnically good singers, Kirsty McColl and Levi Stubbs spring to mind.

Or I was pissed and quoting Dickens. It was definitely one of those.

  14. I spotted Freddie Trueman entertaining Raquel Welch in the Plough last Sunday. When Raquel complained that her Addlestones cider was cloudy he retortrd "What dost tha want for ?3.40, thunder an' fookin' lightnin'"? Fiery Fred, still a card I thought.

Don't sweat it KatieNumbers, Big Paulie and JTW won't feeling happy or nothing else after a certain fishing trip that may or may not be being organised. Lucky Boo Boo? I like it, shows your class. Edited on the advice of my shyster.

Surely a large measure, Moos, the exchequer'll stand it. The dude abides thanks for asking. I've been applying myself to the matter of Ken's chest lately and am determined to expose him for the fraud I suspect him to be. Anyway I took a little time out from that project to read an Ian Hunter interview in the latest MOJO which put a bloom on my day and a spring in my step. And your good self, I trust all is well with Mr M and the Mooslets?

  22. The Dulwich Dynamites is going to take a bit of living up to, with Milfwall there'd have been less pressure. Still you know best. Good luck and make sure you contact E.I. Addio so we can have a full report of the first fixture.

I don't agree that it's their responsibilty, there's that African saying 'It takes a village to raise a child', we acknowledge that by having legislation and systems of social care to cater for parents who are irresposible/abusive/careless when it comes to the welfare of their children. If a parent is behaving irresponsibly then they require a word at the very least.

I think you make a good point KatieNumbers (I think it's about time you got yourself an American mafia style sobriquet, I mean you're practically a made guy, already). Mind, Doreen is very protective of Stan, so it's not politic to even imply the slightest criticism of his behaviour. Just a couple of weeks ago, Stan fell prey to melancholy for a couple of days. So distracted was Doreen, that even when a horse entered the bar, she didn't think to ask him 'Why the long face'? Stan watched all 12 episodes of 'Fawlty Towers' and soon was his old self again, though, so it all turned out alright in the end.
