The supermarkets are now probably the worst > place you can go. They aren't a good place to be and you get the feeling people know that. But we still need food so the alternatives are buying from smaller stores, finding someone who will deliver something or knowing exactly what you want and getting it quickly with minimum of contact. I see military planners are now involved - could we have something more organised in the pipeline - can't help hoping so if the chaos continues (noted reports on here saying its better today - maybe buying moved on to replacements for pubs and gyms)

It's not just food - with gyms closing I was buying an exercise bike or some other equipment to help with fitness if I'm in the house for a while. Everyone else has had the same idea LOL and many sold out for a while or prices going up.

Tim Martin is keeping all Wetherspoons open. Singing the praises of pubs versus supermarkets (he has a point about supermarkets but he's being a bit irresponsible here).

Will we begin to have to pay more and what if some can't :(

Just in case - whatsapp is a phone app.

The number of people in pubs is decreasing - I haven't been in a week - that's a 5 year record :) At some point though the isolation will get depressing for some people and this will be a problem.

I don't track everything - I just check balance to what I'd expect - especially at end of month. If there's an issue you can dig transaction by transaction but it would be good to have a better filter but they are improving.

Home Workouts available from JAGS Sports Club
JohnL replied to JAGS Sports Club Team's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks. Lots of people around here have limited space - so exercises that don't take up too much would be appreciated. -

Wales Online (where I get my Rugby News) seem to be carrying on writing loads of rugby articles as if nothing has happened. Today's headline "Wales get big boost and England rugby chiefs branded appalling" - cheering up Welsh supporters everywhere. Keep the articles coming please Sports Journalists (and keep paying them Media companies - we need to read)

It would be expected grade not last exam I'd think. I'd have been sc*wed anyway - I didn't bother until the final exam.

Priority to those registered as in need. "our online customers who are over 70 years of age or have a disability will have priority access to online delivery slots"

Signed up for a weekly box with https://www.spierssalads.com/ Not sure how good it'll be but I'm exploring at the moment. Really want a nice fish delivery :)

Someone on twitter said we should all have a virtual drink at 7:00 PM tonight (well a real drink virtually I meant). it's not the same and I miss the pub - but it's nice to know a load of other people are having a drink simultaneously.

There are options Check the suppliers to pubs and restaurants - one or two advertising on here & Smith & Brock are another. Aneto has become a nice little supplies shop :) Fishmongers - looking for some customers - they normally sell fish such as Dover Sole and Lobster abroad
-
4 Quarters and Canavans in Peckham both closed until further notice.

Trump is pushing hydroxychloroquine as a possible cure (and Boris is saying 12 weeks) - maybe they have had optimistic news. Sorry anything Quinnine based makes me think of Gin & Tonic - I now need one :)
-
Look at the wholesalers who supply pubs and restaurants normally if you are stuck. They are looking for customers.

This morning was the Over 70s and Vulnerable people 1 hour shop at DKH. Did it work then ? Were the queues because of this ?

It's not the most important thing at the moment but just checked some financials US stock market (Dow) down 10,000 this year - Checked one of my pension pots and ?6k has come of the full value this month. ? almost parity with Euro now (that's a measure of how UK performance is seen I suppose). Even once we survive Covid-19 (a year or so) we have a financial crisis.

I guess the teachers will provide grades ? Seems they will get grades. "He also said more details would be given on Friday on how pupils would be awarded grades in the absence of exams." (should ask my sister but I know she'll be very stressed right now)

seenbeen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Alan Medic wrote > 'PS Each time we selected a tile of the same > number they were returned to the table, so we were > always selecting from a total of 106.' Is it 105 cards on the table when the partner picks a card ? Both cards are replaced on the table after both have picked a card and they compare them to see if one wins ?.
