  1. Hi all, I k ow this thread is mainly about ww but I was wondering if anyone is doing Dukan? Thanks!
  2. Sudocrem regularly and olive oil all over after the bath
  3. So sorry to hear this. Same thing including the lock trick (police told me it was common) happened to me last year! Hope you are ok.. The police will dust for prints I'm sure and I hope they come out soon!
  4. Ellie - your day sounds exactly like mine used to when my son was very small - if you need to catch up for a coffee let me know x
  5. Ellie - we almost hired a night nanny as my son didn't sleep at all.!my partner did 9-12 so I could get 3 hours sleep and then I'd be on shift 12-6. At 6 I'd pass the torch over and grab a shower, coffee and breakfast so I at least felt a bit human. We started sleep training at about 4-5 months as I was desperate, he was waking every 45 mins all night long. I don't want to fill you with dread as my son has severe reflux and a cows milk protein allergy and hated his milk but it's only now at 9 month he is waking once a night.. It will get better I promise.. Just do whatever you can to get through and make it easier for yourself. Getting out daily and getting some fresh air really helps too x
  6. Moved to Australia for 10 months and did road trips etc..
  7. We were going to head down but can't sorry, maybe when the baby is older next year, have fun everyone xx
  8. First mate I completely agree and thank you. Josephine - fact 1 - he was black (if he was white I would have said that too). Fact 2 he was outside my son's room. Fact 3 he wasn't there to have a pleasant conversation with me or just to see how my day was going and was trespassing on my property so yes accosted is a good word to have been used. Given this was a very traumatic experience for me and my family to the point where we are now considering leaving the area (we have been broken in to 3 times in ED) could i politely ask unless you have something constructive to add please do not come on here and nit pick as other people's posts. Posts like yours are the reason why this forum becomes ridiculous at times.
  9. Peckham pulse is closed for a month for a refurb and most groups are stopping next week, do you know if anything is running? I have a very very active 9 month old so cafes etc are out and the weather is making parks etc almost impossible! Thanks
  10. We went and checked out chiselhurst today and from what we saw we really liked it. Going to do some research!
  11. If its in the next few months before I unfortunately have to return to work then I would definitely come along!
  12. Police just called and said a mistake was made and someone should have been dispatched to us immediately and are sending someone around to us.. X
  13. Spoke to the roofers and the painters and it was 100% not them. Everyone was working on the top level of the scaffold no one even noticed him. He had told me that they needed to block access to my back door for an hour so I couldn't come out, 40 mins later after feeding my son I saw the painter and said the roofers need to block the door but not sure why they hadn't started yet! He said he thought it was odd so checked with the roofers with me and it wasn't them. Police said as nothing stolen inside there was nothing they could do!
  14. I have a team of roofers and painters at my house at the moment, I heard my son wake up on the mOnitor so went to get him and caught a young (20s), black guy outside his bedroom door, I got quite a fright and he said he was par of the roofing team and they needed to block access to my back door and I wont be able to get out for an hour, he went on to say he was trying to be quiet as he had a baby and he knew how hard it was to keep them asleep!! He then went out through the back door where he had come in (side gate unlocked as workmen in and out all day). Thankfully nothing of ours was stolen but he went through the painter's stuff in the garden and stole money.. Has really put the wind up me to be honest, wr were burgled almost a year ago.. Does not fill me with confidence that london is the place for me.. He was dressed in a blue parka (could have been black) and a hat.. I didn't pay a lot of attention and just wanted to get my son as was unnerved by the fact he was outside his nursery door and it all happened so quickly. Have called the police but they said as he didn't steal anything from inside the house they would just take a report and not dispatch anyone. Just to give you all a heads up really.
  15. I always thought I'd use a nanny but then looking at costs etc realised that wasn't an option, we thought about a childminder but I'm uncomfortable with paying someone for their 4 week holiday plus ours (if we didn't coincide) plus maternity pay if she got pregnant so we went with what we think is the more flexible route of a nursery.. It comes ugh it's drawbacks though obv it closes at a certain time and I'm currently negotiating with my work to leave early enough to be able to actually pick him up.. My son is v v social and loves kids so I'm hoping he will thrive once at nursery rather than being miserable (I'm pretty sure I'm going to find it a lot harder than he will!) x
  16. Thank you everyone, i will tey all those things.. I really appreciate it.. Jenny ill pm you.. X
  17. Ok brilliant thank you I'll try that x
  18. I've just been to the doc as my son has a bark like cough along with a runny nose, vomit with mucus in it and a low grade temp.. His sleep is very disrupted by this cough but of course when I went to the doc he didn't cough or sneeze once!!! His temp is 37.4 and is currently in his cot trying to sleep but keeps waking due to coughing.. Doc basically waved me off because of course he was bouncy and lovely as soon as he saw the doc and said if it gets worse in the night treat him as if he has croup otherwise it's just a cold. Given he was ok when there totally understand her advice to me but I've googled and it says if croup then steroids may be required. Just wanted to see if anyone else's baby had had croup and if it sounded similar? Thanks

  22. It's not cheap but lasts for ages and is a godsend - modelco mascara (danni minogue one) - it literally washes off in the shower and I have never had panda eyes ones so takes away he need to cleanse in the morning which saves me time.. Looks great as well. It will last you 6 months, more so if like me on mat leave you don't wear it every day.
