  1. Sean bless him is one of my favs, he talks a lot of crap as well as a lot of sense but I love him for it nontheless. Keef always talks sense and stands his ground so have to respect that. *Bob* makes me giggle plus is possibly one of the most attractive gentlemen I have yet to feast my eyes on. Whilst we are on this, can someone open a thread about who talks the most bull? (tempts fate) Louisa.
  2. If people dont moan nothing gets fixed it's as simple as that. Some people are not into complaining whilst in the shop/restaurant/pub, and so feel the need to vent the anger on here. Others do both, such as myself, and usually we do get some sort of change over time. I will never forget my ranting about the Fish and Chips on LL not so long ago, I was eventually and rather kindly offered a free meal and glass of wine. Complaining does work, try it sometime. Louisa.
  3. I know what they look like but you dont, so perhaps if I give too much away it will mean that you bypass my daff posters and go onto DulwichMums on the tree next door which would really p*ss me off! bbw that is certainly an option for after this method has been tried and tested. In fact I hear DM has already put her posters up. Damn. Louisa.
  4. Boom Boom Louisa.
  5. (and yes they do contain daffodil images amongst other things although i'd rather keep some of it under a hat for now otherwise it spoils the surprise) Louisa.
  6. I already said above I have them made, I have just not displayed them yet. Ted do keep up ;-) Louisa.
  7. bbw, they will probably be a cross between the dead or alive style but may contain a few downloaded friendly daff pictures just to warn people off. Louisa.
  8. Ted I have not yet but I have them made and will display them at some point this weekend, preferably when lots of men and women are off work walking around the parks with their kids. I plan on displaying some at Dulwich and Belair parks too (slightly off territory but does no harm). Louisa.
  9. Oh for goodness sakes, why cant a girl just have an opinion about something without it causing all this malarchy. Tillie, see now that is raising old issues which were dead and buried isnt it? You have to learn to let go, move on, get over it, it's all in the past. annaj I thought you didnt want to talk to me! See I get accused of being inconsitant and when others do it no one says a dicky bird! Louisa.
  10. I dont think I said every single bugaboo owning yummy was responsible for the cutting of these daffs, but out of all the people I have seen doing it, they are all ladies and gents of a certain persuasion in my opinion. Louisa.
  11. Annaj if you choose not to read my posts that is your perogative and I take my hat off to you, but please do not refer to me in the third person, lets face it over the nearly two years you have been a member on this forum have you ever had anything of note to talk about? Didnt think so! Anyway, as you wont be reading this it doesnt matter. As to everyone else, well you know I love you all dearly (even though I find it rich some of you call me a troll, I think you know who I am talking to here those people) and I do often bang on about class quite a bit, but you dont quite realise just how much the ED changes really have angered me so. But thats life, we must carry on. I do not think anyone on here can honestly say I have ever left a thread without exploring every single avenue and defending my corner with vigour (even though it is often not to your taste). I dont think I am anymore inconsistant than some of you on here though. Lets face it, we're all human! Louisa.
  12. I was looking forward to the Vietnamese restaurant opening up but that must have been a pie in the sky. What is going to happen to the Woolwich, I think that would make a great restaurant location. Louisa.
  13. Brendan I've been to Italy many times and I have not once seen people walking the streets with a pizza. In fact the only pizza place i've seen out there is Pizza Hut (Rome I think). The heavy thick dough base that Italian Americans invented looks stodgy and stuffing to me, and the things they put on top of the damn bit of flat bread grrr dont get me started. I just dont see the point in pizza personally, maybe if your going to make it at home fair enough or if you really feel like wasting 2 or 3 quid on a frozen one but otherwise, why? I dont see any restaurants dedicated to Welsh Rarebit and it would be the same again, fine to make at home but otherwise why wopuld anyone spend more than a fiver on one? Must be mad! And.... Paulino... meow... you really have shaken me to the core! ;-) Louisa.
  14. Sean as I am sure a man of the world such as yourself would know, Italy is quite an international country and Italians dont exclusively eat pizza as a fix for when they are hungry, in fact I saw McDonalds in Rome than any other take out, oops I better not p*ss the anti-capitalists off! Pizza has never been eaten as a soul meal time dish and certainly not as a main dish, and it is very regional anyhow, i'm sure most Italians would think we were all crazy eating this high carbohydrate diet of bread and various toppings as a main meal. Horsebox I was attending a work related dinner at Luigis in Crystal Palace a few years ago and the pizza was tried just to see if it would fill me up, I went home hungry. If I remember rightly some weirdo chef put spinach on it too :-S Louisa
  15. OK maybe class and pizza is a step too far, but I think that if your going to a pub you should go there for a drink and not to sit down eating a bloody hot pizza, otherwise why dont we just rename the pub Pizza Hut or Pizza Express or however many other stupid and pointless take out and restaurants aimed at this annoying and pointless snack food. Anyway, i've had a pizza from all the major supermarkets and was once forced to have one at an Italian restaurant and I thought they werer all pretty pointless and did not substitute a proper dinner as far as I was concerned. Louisa.
  16. I have daffs in my garden which have come up every year for at least 15 so I presume they hang around for quite a while if they arnt constantly disturbed. Louisa.
  17. Tell me about it Keef. Louisa.
  18. It brings me to tears thinking of those innocent little daffs, and they have been brought to life by your grade A poetry. It is almost like watching Alice In Wonderland talk to the flowers. Louisa.
  19. TM I once more take my invisible hat off to you and your sublime poetry. Louisa.
  20. woofman these wonderful daff's are planted for all our pleasure and if I see ANYONE else taking flowers away I will make a point of making a scene. In fact I am now writing up a sign on here which I will post up around all the areas close to the daff's to stop people from taking them. Louisa.
  21. Sean what makes you think that everyone loves pizza? Honestly please tell me... I mean if you were talking about cooking a nice piece of meat or some complex dish which involved a whole host of ingredients I am pretty sure I could understand, but it is a friggin pizza, it is a cheapo tasteless fast food snack that is bland and usually boring. If you wanna posh it up by sticking some sun dried tomatoes or a fried egg on top be my guest but honestly it's just like posh cheese on toast. I have NEVER seen the appeal at all. Again it must be a class thing, because most people would be happy going out with the family for a treat at pizza hut (god knows why) or just buying a frozen pizza from Sainsbury's. A pub that sells this crap for over the odd's prices needs to be closed down in my opinion. Louisa.
  22. The park is a place for tranquility not for a load of smelly old boozers walking home of an evening making untold noise. As for pizza, no not everyone thinks a bit of flat bread with a few toppings on top is anything other than posh cheese on toast. How anyone can honestly distinguish the difference between a supermarket pizza and one made at some posh bar I have no clue, what a bloomin waste of money. Louisa.
  23. I've seen many a church going widower sneaking past the mind shop in the early hours sifting through the treasure chest of second hand goods. I tell you it is a crime wave sweeping ED, those yummies are the worst mind you, they use those 3 wheel prams almost like gettaway vehicles the scum! Louisa.
  24. Apparantly they sell Irish produce that has been made to look Polish. Amazing. Louisa.
  25. God only knows what will be coming next, some sort of cafe selling overpriced coffee and pizza with a free copy of the Guardian to boot. Heaven for a large number of trendy urbanites on here who think living close to a shithole like Peckham is edgy as opposed to scary. Louisa.
