  1. Quids in the drawing room. The rotter!!
  2. He's probably biting all the coins he collected as winings.
  3. "Where its NOT "all at" is consistently spelling "arguement" with an "e" that does not exist. The verb is, obviously, to "argue" but the "e" is dropped when it comes to using the word: argument." Although I'm often viciously rude and cheeky towards you Tony I wonder what path my grammar would take without your guiding wisdom. "p.s. Can you reproduce your comment about my male appendage as the Subject interests me." I don't think that would be wise after today's carry on. Another time perhaps.
  4. You'd probably smell of Eel and parsley liquor afterwards.
  5. "I'm sure you could control yourself if you put your mind to it." Not likely. I think that the drawing room will survive but it wont flourish at the rate it's creators may have hoped. This is because, as Keef stated, contributors want to come across as knowledgable about the subject they debating. There's nothing wrong with that because it is a place where facts and sources are going to be expexted. This is where the growth of the drawing room will be stunted. These facts and figures will have to sought out either on the internet or through other means and on many occasions when a contributor has their case in order with all their sources at hand they'll find that the arguement/discussion has moved on from where they were going to pick up. They may then see no point in carrying on where they left off because they may be afraid of being shouted down by those who see the old point/case as irrelevant to what is being discuused and could acuse others of backtracking or swaying the arguement in their favour. I don't really object to other forum members wanting a decent discussion and I don't really mind being excluded from it either as I come on here for humour. I'm constantly pissing about so I wouldn't blame the drawing room crowd ignoring me either. I see it as dull and want no part in it. The lounge is where it's all at.
  6. I know exactly how he did it. It's alarmingly simple and was done in Japan last year.
  7. Good point Hal. I started it because I discovered that after the forums overhall the eye in the sky had neglected to extend my ban into the drawing/yawning room. I genuinely wanted to garner a positive response but it was also admittedly an experiment to see if I could get away with it. I then started a thread about smuggling and it was moved to the lounge and I was banned from the drawing room. I'm not playing a sympathy card but I'm not blaming admin either. I simply can't be trusted with all the high brow debaters although f_ck knows how Quids gets away with it.
  8. Hal. I did the whole 'electrocution by keyboard' to death months ago. I've also warned you about copying me before. Please, for the last time, stop it.
  9. "The Chair wishes to have HAL9000's babies." You're not allowed to post in the lounge as the chair. Whoever you are, don't ever come in here again with that mask on. I'm being serious as well. I'm not allowed in your drawing room so who the hell do you think you are coming in here strutting about the place when no one can identify you. P_ss off out of here!!
  10. Quite right Brendan. My imaginary companions and I...
  11. Iain take this as you see fit. I and my friends like to grow a bit of dope over the summer and we often get quite competative concerning the end result. I don't go in for all this hightech halogen lights malarky but instead prefer to cultivate some good Sensimelia. What I've discovered through various underground publications is that Orchids are very similar to Marijuana as in the seeds are often cross breed hybrids. A good tip for growing homegrown as well as Orchids is to water them with mineral water and to use only fruit peel as fertilizer. Good luck.
  12. Dear *Bob*. I'm afflicted with the inability to start threads and have come up against brick wall cncerning this unfair impediment. Any suggestions?
  13. A problem shared with *Bob* is a problem suddenly blown out of all proportion. Before we divulge any personal info to you *Bob*, how about a little peek into your 'Pandora's box'.
  14. Depends on how the crow flies Mick.

  16. Fair enough and thanks for making yourself clear, especially regarding those ghastly emoticons.
  17. "And yes, earn it lackey!!!" I'm going to take that as a joke Mockney.
  18. I'm more than used to it Quids. Although even I know when it's time to shut up. Consider it "zipped".
  19. Key Performance Indicator.
  20. "I'm not sure you've earned the right to shut me up about it in a thread entitled 'drawing room yay or nay'." Earned the right? What, do I have to be privy to some sort of blessing or bestowal before I request that you pipe down or if I can voice an opinion.
  21. Although I found your statement regarding the strength of our convictions regarding someone popping their head above the parapet as a rather broad accusation of some sort of cowardice rather unnecessary as well as rude considering many of us (myself included) haven't made any criticism of the Chair or how s/he goes about moderating the Drawing room.
  22. Point taken.
  23. "I have no issue with my being older than you, but more that your post in response to my first today on this thread implied some kind of watching-over of your behaviour. I do not do that." I never said I feel you have an issue in being older than me, it just get's a little tiring having my age and inexperience of the world being brought into question now and again. A tool you sometimes use against me although you're not the only one who does it. I'm sorry if you feel that I see you as someone who is watching over me but you're one of those who often make their feelings known to me by indicating their displeasure of my behaviour. I'm sure that you can see why I feel that you're watching over me (and others) by making your feelings so clear and your follow up of reporting the post that has caused you displeasure. "If you consider your post re: TLS to have been acceptable, and not worthy of editing I can only say I find that a shame. I have reported it. I continue to be extremely annoyed that I've been made to feel that I had to, I hate doing it." You're entitled to your opinion but don't imply that I'm solely responsible in somehow forcing your hand in doing something you dislike. The choice is entirely yours although I sympathise with your reasons for doing so on occasion as I know that I can go too far but I'm not the only one.
  24. "BBW, please edit your posts or I will report them and have them removed." Be my guest Moos. You may find this shocking to take in but on occasion I do take the trouble to edit some of my posts if I think that on the occasion I've gone too far. You may find it irritating to be characterised as some sort of aunty figure but I'm afraid some of the blame for this label must be apportioned to yourself. By attempting to hush me or slap me down by bringing my youth into question such as "quiet/hush little pup", will undeniably brand you as some sort of matron figure. That's all.
  25. Well said B.
