Roger roger, no spoilers. But it's very good - hope you enjoy it.
  2. Have to say that I have spent an hour reading this thread in its entirety and had just about reached the conclusion that that was an hour I'd never see again, then I read CrystalClear's post and spewed my high juice laughing.

EDKiwi, I too would hope so - great drama, for which I think we can thank Russell T Davies (don't know but assume he didn't write the series). And 5 hours allowed for some decent character development. I thought it was boldly done - not the ending I was expecting, dark and thought-provoking (written as someone who doesn't generally watch sci-fi in case anyone who does wants to tell me it was a load of lightweight froth)

Well Mick, there are words for fellas like you that lead a girl on with promises of mothers' ruin (point of order - mother's ruin or mothers' ruin?) and then it all comes to naught. None of them polite.

An absolute corker. a humdinger. a barnstormer. a visceral pour a quart of gin down my throat bit of telly. holy f*ck, am right royally shell-shocked. can anyone pop over with a quart of gin?
  7. Now I feel bad. Once, some many many years ago, I went to the cash machine around 11 at night. No one else around. ?100 hanging out. I took it - my friend and I waited about 10 minutes to see if anyone would come back. They didn't I took this to be a sign that Jesus loves me and wanted me to drink cocktails. Yay for Jesus and his ?100 cocktails.
  8. If she had removed his ankles, how did he manage to carry the perambulator?
  9. I have some marimekko paper plates left over from the weekend - they're a veru sunshine yellow
  10. citizenED, as I recall, I told you how very handsome you are. Yes, I may have suggested that I thought you'd be older but that was by way of pointing out how young and dynamic you turned out to be... sheesh!
  11. Larvely garden indeed - and some seriously interesting mind-boggling courtesy of HAL9000
  12. I know which of you I'm going to eat first on the morning you all wake up dead
  13. Yeah you're right. Bad day and I took offence needlessly. Normally I just laugh at the idiots who slag off PR while falling for it hook line and sinker.
  14. Acid Casual, do a quick google search and then come back and tell me that Tesco aren't involved in any vile PR campaign It's naive to assume that they're doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. They do it because they know that's what the public wants and expects from retailers. As a PR professional, I take offence at your vile PR campaign comment - ill-informed, ill-considered and frankly a little smug. And clearly, from the tone of your post, it would seem that their PR campaign is indeed working.
  15. There are canings on offer?? Marvellous.
  16. I think that's nonsense. The English are far less bothered about any kind of English / Scottish divide than the Scots. Murray doesn't get the support Tim Henman did because he doesn't play the same PR game. He has been moody and lacked charm and any willingness to engage with fans. That's starting to change now, and it'll only take his playing nicely with the fans at one Wimbledon for people to get hehind him.

No Elvis slagging please. Beautiful man, beautiful voice, beautiful hip thing. How much new ground is there to break? And as for writing own music tosh - where does this all come from? Do we expect actors to be able to write their own words? Or opera singers? No we do not. Pah, music snobs...
  18. No you're not *Bob*. jim_the_chin, you find the sarcasm negative. I find this self-perpetuating, cyclical and ever-increasing splurge of posts negative and misleading.

You don't watch tv because of all the negativity but you like to be kept up to date on the road accidents and burglaries..?
  20. Really Jim, really really really, you thought you could leave your car unlocked around here? Or indeed anywhere? And the adverts on the telly and the evidence of your own eyes and the slew of posts on here about car break ins / bike thefts did nothing to change your mind and this one solitary post opened your eyes to what a fool you had been? Really? Well ok then. For myself, all the sarcastic comments have helped me think I wasn't alone in my exasperation.
